The Vassar Theatre is a classic Art Deco movie house with the latest presentation technology, showing first-run films. It offers delicious popcorn, a nice selection of soda pop and candies, all at reasonable prices. The theatre’s goal is making sure that everyone enjoys the show. It is a small, “old school” place with nice people, which makes it wonderful. The facility, service, movies, and people are all awesome. Prices are low, and there is commentary before the movie. The best popcorn anywhere and prices can't be beat. The crew is always friendly and welcoming. Special events are fantastic. The theatre can be rented for special family events, like a Mother's Day weekend activity. This small town theater is a gem of cinema history and a lucky find in Vassar.
