“Came in to get a wheel alignment for my 200c they told me I needed a wheel bearing and they could do it be it would need another after I fixed the wheel bearing and they have to charge me $35 for looking at my car so I asked to do the wheel bearing anyway (because it would only be $65 more dollars and at least some work would have been done to my car ) they said that they could no longer do the alignment because it wouldn’t hold and now I’m out of $35 and another $20-$40 for uber rides just for them to do no work on my car the owner called me and made it right I appreciate the care and time he took to make sure things were right and I was satisfied”

They took the time to answer all of my questions about booking an appointment and seemed very knowledgeable about their services. That said, I did get the sense that—like many other repair shops—the business is heavily focused on maximizing revenue. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re looking for a more customer-first, budget-conscious experience.

They gave me a breakdown report of every part of the car, the timeline for repairs in the future, and how much it would cost. This gave us a great basis for negotiating repairs and pricing with the dealership. “Hands down I like this place for tires. Top notch. I've been to a few places for tires just like many other drivers. Very pleased with how well they cleaned my aluminum rims for my new tires. Best seal longest lasting seal I've obtained for my aluminum rims. Nobody likes to continuously have to check and air poorly sealed tires. Which we know aluminum rims can be fickle with Michigan weather.

“This is my go to location for affordable decent used tires. Even if sometimes they are extremely busy and you have to wait a good amount of time. 2 weeks ago I grabbed a decent pair to replace my front 2 tires. And the price was only $80(I'm sure the price varies by size). They replaced the pair I bought 18 months ago here. $80 for a pair of tires every year is extremely reasonable. Especially with the amount of driving I do. They are just as reasonable for a repair considering they sometimes have to pull the tire off the rim for the repair. Unlike a lot of these places who've raised their prices so high you might as well go to Bell tire or Discount tire. Last winter I called 15 of these smaller shops to get a price for swapping out for my winter tires. The prices quoted were $120-200. I ended up going to Discount tire and paid $89. But Yurria quoted me $80 because they understand that people are struggling.”

I’ve been going to Leo & Ed’s for the past decade and have no plans to change that going into this next decade! I trust three people with my car- my dad, my partner & Rick (shop owner).
They are incredibly kind and are mindful of your budget. There were times where I couldn’t afford to get everything fixed at once and the staff would help with what would be best to fix “today” and what could wait.
I’ve been to previous mechanics where they would say “they use the best of the best parts” but why was that necessary when I had an old used decade old car?

“My wife had a flat tire and was able to pull into a gas station. She was bringing her mother to an important medical appointment at the time. I arranged an Uber to take her and her mom to the appointment on time, but the van was left in the gas station lot. I called Bauer Built and explained the situation. They had a technician go to the gas station, remove, and replace the tire, all before my wife got back after the appointment. I am extremely grateful for their willingness to help out in this situation.”

“Brought my Jeep in with no appointment to get a noise checked out. Never been here before & Dave was so friendly and helpful. He knew right away what the noise was, checked it out to be sure and looked up the parts and labor for me. He quoted me at worst a fairly large price for how he could fix it, but told me another possible option would be check out his friend at MufflerMan down the road. They were able to do a much simpler fix for me. Dave not only saved me from possibly having a $1500 fix to instead a $300 fix, but was honest with me the whole time and didn’t take advantage of my scenario that I don’t have much knowledge in. Definitely would recommend M&T for their honesty and integrity!”
“I cannot say enough good things about this place. I've been going here for 8 years. I've never once had a problem and my car was an 04 so I went there frequently. They break everything down and are so transparent. They don't try to upsale or push things you don't need. Their prices are fair and not outrageous. From the mechanics to the front desk everyone is friendly. I just had to get rid of my car and they handled everything for me and went above and beyond.
