A+ for a quick free fix (trailer light fuse).
I couldn't get a hold of them by phone, so I showed up at 12:30pm on a Wednesday to an empty store. After several minutes an employee came in, and initially told me they don't handle anything hitch related. I said I just talked to the folks on the Uhaul 1-800 number and they said to come here.
He took a moment to look up my make and model to find out where the wiring connections were stored in the vehicle. After popping off the rear panel of my trunk, he swapped in a new fuse and connected a tester to it. Good as new, and no charge!

Started awful but Jake and Chris saved the day. After not being able to get the 20ft Uhaul I had reserved a week before because the person who had the 20ft Uhaul before me hadn’t returned it yet, Molly said she would make it up to me and my wife by giving us a discount on the auto transport that we had also rented with the truck ($170 add on). We scrambled and ended up finding a truck with Budget, came back for the auto transport around 5pm, and ran into an employee named Jake. I told him what happened this morning and he informed me they didn’t have an autotransport like Molly said AND that Molly had cancelled our reservation altogether. Jake was kind and patient enough to try and find another auto transport at another Uhaul place, and Chris helped tremendously with the process. We got to the other Uhaul location just in time before close and are on our way to Alabama. I wish we could’ve gotten some sort of discount or credit at the other Uhaul like Molly had promised but shoutout Jake and Chris for their help on 6/29!

After several phone calls that were unanswered I decided to drive to the location. On the window states that they install hitches, after waiting in lobby for several minutes a worker finally appeared to tell me they do not install hitches and stated Plainfield location does.

I would say if you need propane don’t go here especially on Saturday. Waited 10 minutes for the guy working to come out to tell me he can’t pump propane because he is the only one working. He closes the propane door and then decides to hang a sign saying the propane station is closed. Management please look at your policies closer from a customers stand point and don’t waste my time.

Shovel your sidewalks! Not only is it a city requirement but it’s a liability.

I would not recommend this place. They are quick with service and the trucks are clean but they lie about the charges. I was given a a discounted rate because they gave me a truck with no gas and when I needed the truck for an extra 3 hours they charged me a full day, and also said I want the predicted mileage when I only went 25 percent. The estimated price with the estimated mileage was $61.00. We payed 100 dollars total for an extra 3 hours and using way less miles. CROOKS

I reserved the U-Haul in March for a June reservation. I arrived at 2 AM to pick up my U-Haul and learned that there were no vehicles available, despite the fact I had reserved it 4 months prior. I then had to wait 45 minutes to get an Uber to another u-haul location so I could get a truck and not be homeless for the night. I had to pay an additional $50 for the Uber. I was told I would get a $50 credit for the U-Haul bill because of this, but of course I never received that credit. Awful service and awful logistics shown by the company to give my reserved truck to another customer. I would not recommend reserving a truck in advance from U-Haul unless you’d like to spend 5 hours of your time on the phone with corporate/traveling around an unfamiliar city aimlessly.

Courtney was the epitome of what customer service can and should be; helpful, friendly, and efficient. Just have to give credit where credit is due. She is very good at what she does and we had a very pleasant rental experience because of it. Keep up the good work and thanks for what you do!

I rent more than you. I know what a good, bad, and really bad uhaul store is like. This store is really good. Mostly because the managers are smart and capable. Courtney cares about doing a good job so the other staff do too. Same was true with the last manager who transferred not fired or quit.Anyone who says blah blah on the phone with them, blah blah complain. You aren't talking to the staff on location when you call usually; you're talking with call center staff. Also, if you aren't difficult with them 9/10 times they won't be difficult with you. If you had a bad experience previously, give this location another shot. You'll likely find significant improvement. I haven't met even 1 person who works here that I would fire if I were in charge, that's saying alot now a days.

U-Haul has become shady in my opinion. I called to inquire about a local pickup or van as my car is down. I've seen all their trucks with this now just 19.95 per day. That's only if you plan to sleep in the cab on their lot. Because it 70 cent's a mile on weekdays and 80 on weekends. If you are moving stuff across town you could end up paying upwards of 100$. They need to add that to the side of the truck's. It used to be a flat rate and you had to return it full of gas like you received it.

0 stars. How hard is it to learn how to use the propane machine? Guy sitting on counter has no idea how to deal with customers might as well close the store if you only hire incompetent people.
