They will diagnose you with schizophrenia even if you've never had it, and did it to multiple patients in my hall including me (with no history nor hallucinations). Dr. Sandeir should be arrested for the crimes he's commiting holding patients against their will and forcing medication, otherwise you go to a probate court that will rule you as incompetent and you will be forced to take medication and may be assigned a guardian. Upmost phony mental health advocates all in the name of that good insurance money. They are also keen on violating HIIPA rights as they left out diagnostic info on other patients for all patients to see. This was reported with no action done so far. I will continue to report to every facility I can to get it shut down. This place should be shut down and the staff should remain jobless. Poor excuse for a mental facility and now I will TRULY need therapy and psychiatric help, as well as a reevaluation. Therapy is a joke because it's recreational and doesn't elaborate on what you're going through in groups. If your loved ones are in here, good luck. They'll need it as they'll come out a different person.

Only giving four stars to the mental health technicians and therapists. Names are JUSTIN (hi justin what’s your last name) and khari were amazing. So was star, Kenny, and nurse Apple. and for those names I can’t remember I am sorry. But you know who you are. As for the rest of the team, Jen and josh, you guys are amazing. Necole the social worker is great. The PA is great. The only thing that broke my heart was seeing people so drugged up they couldn’t function or even answer the phone. To my fellow friends, Michelle, Micha, Debbie, raberta, Frankie, Dimitri, Christopher, Timmy, Tamara and Lulu, I will think of you guys every day! Take care of my Micha. When it came to medical it was a little messed up. They tried to take me off an anti depressant cold turkey and never tried to ween me off, I had no idea what drugs I was being put on or what their purpose was, you just sign a paper and that’s it. I remember my other fellow patients even asking me if I was okay because I was so drowsy. Medication isn’t always the answer, it was painful to see people so drugged up on meds that they can’t even stay in groups, it’s like a nightmare everyone fears of. Being drugged up and never being able to leave because you can’t function. These people who are in these states would go see the psychiatrist for three seconds and he would dismiss them because they couldn’t even talk. Thats abuse and intolerable. Not every person has the same ability to function, some have extreme trauma, some have mental disabilities, some need extra help. Putting them on a score for going to groups or making their bed is setting these poor people up for failure.I am fortunate enough that I was able to get out, but you cannot combine a group of people and expect them to all act the same.Just like dogs, you can’t expect a German shepherd to sit there and behave the same as a lab. And you can’t drug a German shepherd to be like a labDo better.

My review was 5 stars. Im now facing termination from job of 28 years. Unicare received the necessary paperwork Friday (January 12),but the doctor's portion wasn't filled out or signed. It has been over a month since being admitted into their hospital. It looks like I'll have to take drastic action against this facility, but of course I don't want to force people to do their job. The really sad part is this isn't helping my treatment. Some doctors there were phenomenal. This place was filled with love on the 3rd floor, even with all the cuts by the state of Michigan years ago. Please consider that no one wants to be there, but most all of workers love working there. That should tell you a lot. I'm sure most people who want to leave a 5 star review are possibly embarrassed to put their name out there publicly. Dr. Sandier comes with very high regard, so I trust him and my medicines are perfect now. I'm excited that I'm finally being treated properly for my anxiety. My head feels so clear and focused after living all my life without treatment of forty-seven years for ADHD. Also many things were taken care of like my ACID Reflex, cracked skin from dryness, and many people there knew that Xanax should never be prescribed for someone with ADHD. The group therapy was excellent too. It will be what you make of it.Dr. Apple is horrible from what ive seen and he will probably get sued sometime soon. I'd be suing him for multiple things that I saw a mile away. He's probably responsible for almost half of the negative reviews. The common thing I heard about him was the "Cash Cow" theory. He is supposedly only about the Benjamins. I did witness his bedside manners and that's why he might have regrets soon, if he doesn't change rapidly. The hospital should consider making Dr. Sandier a full time position for only 40+ hours a week. Everyone I spoke with on the 3rd floor wished they had Sandier instead of Apple. The entire staff is amazing for what is a tough environment. I really feel for anyone working there with their own problems.Special shout out to P.A. Assistant Gina and Dr. Garmo for being excellent care givers. They were the two I didn't list when praising special staff members like Ladonna before Madonn on my in house review.Employee of the year: Jermmy (about 100 days of seniorityEmployee of the decade: Nańi (8 years)Employee of the quarter century is Marie (15-18 years) in my own opinion). She comes in regularly and I see how great she is when treated right. I've apologized to her and 2 dozen ¼lbs cookies from Levain bakery are heading there now for her as my restitution for falsely presuming she had a problem with me for being white/whatever else I am. I saw her laughing with other white people and trusting them, so I understand that I was a problem for her. I'm sorry, truly sorry for wrong ing you!John Sims (Szymacha)

Beaumont Taylor lied said I was suicidal to get me there. Staff overworked underpaid under trained. The damage the hypocritical false hood of putting men to an inhumane standard of no feelings over work your pride for not enough to scrape by is a HUGE thing people need to consider. I didn't take meds prescribed cause the 1st doc lied and I didn't need medication for that but I have other symptoms being ignored cause of that type of cop out

If I could rate this place lower, I absolutely would. As mentioned in other reviews, this place is a joke. Actually, it is criminal what they are doing. Dr. Medina is a sorry excuse of a psychiatrist; I wonder why she prescribes every single patient extremely high doses of the same psych drugs? Think maybe the makers of Depaco and whatever other poison she is pushing on everyone there are paying her to? How come she does 2 minute evaluations on patients via zoom with a horrible connection WHILE DRIVING...with OTHER PEOPLE IN THE CAR?! How come her 'assistant'aka her daughter sits in on every zoom call-without the patients permission? I dont think she was even in the US! Besides that, the place is riddled with violations: Marlene, the 'recipients rights advocate' tried to tell me my fiance called and was going to pick up my property which they "lost"... Im not engaged, and I didnt sign ANY HIPPA disclosures. This place is a SCAM and they provide ZERO treatment: 30 mins of recreation therapy twice a day: coloring with felt tip markers or making bead bracelets...and toxic doses of medication 4 times a day. They need to shut this place down and arrest the management and Doctors and owners. Seriously. Its atrocious.

I don't know if the people who are leaving "good" reviews are, maybe, actually employees of this place, or somehow associated professionally with the Behavioral Center? What I DO know is: this place is a joke. Absolute joke. Ever single interaction has been difficult, unfruitful, and mostly a waste of everyone's time. Calling in to get any information has been is impossible (yes, they are authorized to speak with me about my loved one being held in there). Still no visiting due to Corona. Seriously? State Prisons now allow visiting, yet this place doesn't? I dropped off some personal items (all were allowable) yet my loved didn't receive ANY of it, even though I wrote her name on the bag and books, she still never received any of it. To top it off, the woman who stated she would ensure my loved one received the items, identified herself as a "Supervisor", white coat, and all. (Broken leg, rolling around the place on her little wheeled cart that supported her leg, short blonde hair, white, with blue eyes).

I was a voluntary admission from the crisis center so my experience maybe is a little different. I didn't have a choice in which hospital I was sent to but I'm glad it was this one. I arrived at 4 in the morning and was greeted by the nicest technician and most of the staff was very kind. The doctor was friendly but very rushed. He over-medicated me at first to the point where I was almost falling over from dizziness, but when I brought it up he actually listened to me and decreased my dose. The 2nd floor has not been remodeled so it is pretty dated. I would have liked to be able to go outside and get some fresh air. The food was decent. They respected my religious beliefs (I am a practicing Muslim) and they let me keep my prayer rug and wear my hijab. They helped save my life in a time of crisis. Thank you!

Wish I could give zero starts. I'm five months pregnant, my husband was transferred there, and the contact I've had with the staff is awful. From the social worker Leon, to the doctors and nurses, I have never been more stressed in my life and you can be sure that if I have complications during birth, it is 100% their fault.

I went here years ago. I had just come off of two antidepressants that I had been on for about 10 years about a month prior (not by my own doing.) I told the doctor I was not sure if I was clinically depressed and needed medication because anyone would be feeling depressed with the situations I was going through at that time and said I had been on the medications for so long that I wasn't sure if they were still working or if I even needed them for as long as I had. the psychiatrist literally just looked at me and said "so why are you here if you don't want medication??" I was like "uhh I said I wasn't sure and figured that you being a doctor and a professional could help me figure that out. " we talked for about three more minutes and he just started writing me scripts

This place is actually amazing. Do not let the reviews scare you. All the staff were absolutely wonderful, the place is clean & they treat all patients well. Only thing that could use an upgrade is the food. 10/10 recommend ?

Would give no star rating, but you can't post without at least one. The one star is dedicated to the facility. The only 3 helpful and pleasant people were the receptionist, nurse Vinita, and nurse Gary(5 stars for them ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) on the 2nd floor. The social worker Nicole spoke with me once and never followed up again. I had to physically come up to the facility and speak with her over the phone, because a nurse stated my loved one would we dc'd on Monday and it was a Friday afternoon. Not one person from the facility called to discuss the dc plan. They scheduled bogus appointments in the dc plan, stating that a follow up with his treatment center was scheduled for the following Monday at 9 a.m. I later found out that no such appointments had been made. There was one Asian and one African nurse(this how my loved one described them to me) on day shift that were very rude, short, and quiet frankly lazy. When you asked for info it was "I don't know". Never let me find out or check for you. The follow through and team approach is scattered and unprofessional. There is very little transparency, and you would think it would be more, considering they will not let you visit your loved ones. My loved one did not slip through the cracks like so many vulnerable people do. They have family who are very concerned about their wellbeing and treatment when in a facility. I know most places aren't the best and its a shame, because people are supposed to be there to help. Needless to say I would not recommend this facility. They will stress you out more, with their inadequacy , on top of your loved one needing treatment.
