CT is the Worst most Irresponsible Carrier I've ever encountered...including Mayflower. When the owner(s) REFUSE to speak with a customer that sends a clear notice of the rotten business values at the top.
The merchant who shipped on.my behalf has promised to NEVER use CT again.
Find a responsible carrier elsewhere.

Private owned company who doesn’t care to pay their drivers good enough wages to be competitive with other LTL companies. They force you to use your PTO days even if you have an emergency and ask for it to be a non paid day to save your vacation time. Their “policy” is if you’ve got them you HAVE to use them for any days off that’s not a holiday or weekend.
Proof of that last sentence is, about 2 weeks ago 5-21-2024 I arrived for my shift at 6 am. I go to do my pre trip, it was loaded in Nashville and brought to my terminal in Memphis. Did NOT have a seal on it, this is a common thing with their drivers not sealing loads. I put a seal on it, finish my pre trip, then continue to leave the yard and start my run to Prescott Arkansas. When I exit the gate, freight spills out all into the street! Turns out that a new hire, who had NO business opening my trailer, did so after I inspected my doors being shut and adding a seal to it.
So in turn I call my dispatch and tell them I’m resigning, in the heat of the moment I was highly upset as any professional driver would be who takes his JOB, also his and others SAFETY very seriously. After I cooled down I spoke to Will in HR and explained the situation. I explained to him why I got so upset and also explained I don’t want to leave Central Transport after 5 years of service. But the unprofessionalism has to stop! Well he didn’t like how upset I got so he said we will just honor your resignation then no need to return to work.
Now, rewind back to forcing you to use your PTO. Well they kept my last check, this is a common practice of theirs. They FORCE you to use pto, but then if someone leaves or gets fired. They keep their last check because the pto says taken were considered an “advance” on your pay.
Crooked, unprofessional, underpaying privately owned company who doesn’t give a hoot about their drivers, you are just a number. Dispatch hates you, road service dreads your call for a breakdown, and the terminal managers do NOT care about you or your safety. Steer clear of this place, if you want a good workplace, this is not the one.
Also, they don’t train their dock workers or forklift drivers. They give you a sheet of paper, say “sign here” next thing you know you’re a certified forklift driver! No test no nothing! Woohooooooo!

This company is ran by spiteful and dishonest thieves. 1st off, their trucks and trailers are the filthiest garbage I've ever driven in my life with all types of problems; it's a wonder DOT doesn't shut the whole company down. 2nd, line haul dispatchers are the most insufferable, unprofessional people ever. Constantly hanging up on you when calling them, and then putting you on hold for dozens of minutes at a time only to hang up on you again.
And 3rd, they are dishonest thieves; they're not paying drivers for the hazmat loads they are pulling, and some loads aren't even labeled as hazmat when clearly the weight of hazardous materials exceed the legal limit for placards. They withhold delay & detention pay & gaslight drivers when they complain.
I gave them 2 weeks notice before leaving & they retaliated by withholding my final check from me and then writing me up as a no call no show.
I will be contacting proper legal authorities on this ghetto mess and poor excuse for a trucking company.

Their truck driver got on the stand and lied about hitting 4 of us. Which happened in May 2018,went to court in Columbia SC. lastweek and they already paid for the car to be fixed and they others off. I have a lifetime injury because I was in backseat and they believed the driver that was in a construction zone flashing his lights at us. Said we stopped in middle of road. Which he lied on the stand. It wa raining and he said we merged in front of him. I will be posting about this company and the new company since I'm sure they have changed name, but because the car wasn't beat up they apparently thought couldn't cause damage two weeks later

I've been in the industry for 20 years, and this is the worst logistics company I've ever worked with. Their prices are competitive on some routes, but their terrible service will make you wish you went with a competitor. I write this review as a warning to any potential customer to stay away from working with Central Transport if you can.A few examples of what to watch out for:- Frequent misbilling: Central Transport does not provide a line-item invoice when billing unless it is specifically requested after a bill has been sent. Otherwise, they send a charge with no details and hope that customers aren't savvy enough to check that their bill matches the services performed.- Late shipments: Never count on a shipment taking the amount of time estimated when you receive a quote. It once took them over a month and a half to deliver a shipment half way across the country that they said would take four days.- Unpaid damage claims: Don't count on getting paid for damaged shipments. They once damaged a container we were shipping so badly that it was leaking. They put on a pallet because it couldn't stand upright anymore and tried to deliver it. After our customer rightfully refused the dripping mess, they transferred the contents to another leaking container and delivered it again. After I submitted a claim for damages, Central Transport wouldn't pay for damages because they said our account was past due for not paying a charge that was misbilled to our account. If you work for Central Transport and read this and the countless other negative reviews of your company, I hope you take the concerns seriously and work to start delivering the service your company advertises instead of merely lining the pockets of your owners who do everything they can to remain unknown.

Horrible customer service. Called regarding a PO number and asking for their address. Customer service representative said in a sly tone, "well, let me look it up, just like you could have done yourself." Very short, unhelpful, and hung up on me. Horrible way to represent your company!
