Shaw Park is a decent, peaceful park with wooded walking trails. It features a covered pavilion, many picnic tables and grills, and tennis courts. The playground is big, new, and clean, with several older play structures and benches. A path leads from the parking lot to the bathrooms and playground. The toilets are usually only open when the pavilion is rented. It is dog-friendly, with dog bags provided. Visitors note it is a pleasant place for a walk, to see friendly squirrels, and to observe a mix of friendly people. Some areas, like the unlined parking lot and limited swings, could be updated.
