I would not recommend this location ( Groesbeck) the staff are very un professional, rude and have attitudes ( especially the young kid !!!!

Horrible customer service. Went here to get a hitch put on my car. Told me they could order it. It would take a couple of weeks. Told me to call a day in advance to make sure it was there before they did the install. I did as I was asked. I was told they didn't know if they had it in stock. You have to go check and then they would call. Never got a call back called them. Got a very rude person on the phone telling me that they would call me again to verify that it was in which never happened. Called again. Got more rude customer service so I decided to take my business somewhere else

Dont walk RUN AWAY!!! First problem I get there and they do not have the van I reserved and instead of upgrading me the rep continued to look for other locations! Then tried to offer me a huge 20" truck remind you im 5'2, how was going to drive that?? It wasnt until the manager (nice guy i feel sorry because his employees are trash) realized I had a reservation and says "oh i thought you were a walk in but since you had a reservation i can give you a 10" truck" i said fine! I let that slide! The worst part was returning the truck, they make you return the truck yourself through a website or $20 convenience fee for uhaul to check it in the next morning! So they basically charge you to do their job!! the website DID NOT WORK spent 30 minutes trying to return. The next morning I was charged a $20 fuel fee for not returning the gas as given but guess what i take pictures of everything!!! Disputed the charge, they made me send my picture with a time stamp as if I was lying! They finally reserved the charge never said sorry had a whole attitude with me! I WILL NEVER RETURN!! It sucks because im a business owner and use uhaul very often but ill just drive the extra 6 miles and go to saint clair shores location, I never have any issues there!

Very rude customer service by the front desk lady. Made me and my father wait over 20 minutes just to return a truck. Somebody should really check her attitude she’s a grown woman acting like a child.

The closing Assistant Manager on 4/17/23, between 5:50pm-7:000pm was rude, and hung up the phone me! When I called, I asked her to explain to me how soon I had to make the payment on my acct, because currently my account is in lien status, and set to go to auction. She tells me rudely and unprofessionally, that I haven’t paid anything on my acct, which is a lie, because she had just told me that I last paid on my account $216.00, on March 25th, and that there was a partial payment made on my Acct. I asked her how soon I had to make my payment, to avoid auction, and she said that she doesn’t know, and that it can basically be whenever, because they just cut customer’s locks off their units. When I asked to speak to a manager, she said that she was the assistant manager, and that her name was Jackie. When I asked what time they closed, she said also rudely, that they close at 7:00pm, but the doors are closed at 6:50pm. When I asked her why the doors close a whole 10 minutes early, she said to ask the general manager, and hung up again. So twice the assistant manager hung up on me, and provided poor customer service. I plan on reaching out to the CEO of the company, as well as the corporate office, hoping that there is a resolution to this problem.

This was literally THE BEST experience I've ever had at any U-Haul. I've used uhaul in 5 different states and these were the nicest, most efficient people I've ever seen. Thank you for being awesome professionals. It's hard enough moving and dealing with moving day, you guys made it that much easier.

Standing inside for more then ten minutes waiting for service phone rings someone runs out and instead of putting on hold and helping me end up reserving the last available truck in my size I needed to the customer and then still wanted to charge me for a huge truck when I’m only picking up a couch !! Will never come back to this location!!!!

IF YOU CAN GO ANYWHERE ELSE GO THERE AVOID AT ALL COST.Worst uhaul experience, gave me a raggedy truck that after having it for one day didn't switch in to drive had to wait until 11pm for a tow truck, I put in the request at 6:45pm. So I called this office today, the assistant manager says I can't get another truck because the other one is under contract. I reminded her that she is aware that their truck was towed by the service they called. Very unprofessional was not helpful at all.No sympathy to the situation, I'm not sure how this person became an assistant manager but it's definitely not a position she should be in. She literally got an attitude because we said we would call corporate ma'am your not helping how about you not work in a job that requires you to deal with the public.UPDATE I keep receiving calls from the clowns that work talking about the truck was returned late how is that my problem when it with a tow service your company provided then lied and said I left something at the location when I haven't been there since Tuesday. This place either need to hire smarter people or close down for good.

I never complain about customer service because ive worked in it for over 20 years but on August 2022 . I went to the store on Groesbeck in warren to reserve a small box rental 2 weeks before the date needed. I went to pick it up on that date and my rental was given to someone else!!!! They had 10 trucks& vans on the lot but could not provide anyone of those, not sure what was issue!!!! They referred me to a uhaul location on Westside 15 miles away and it was 30 minutes before all locations were closing for the evening . I had a very important event the next morning & afternoon. It ended up being an extreme inconvenience for an upcoming 70th bday party. I have been a customer a few times before including storage rental that went well at the same location. I will not rent from them again!!! Will probably go to penske. What is point of reserving a truck and when you get there NO trucks or vans are available!!!!!
