“This historic old bank building is chock-full of every kind of antique and vintage item you could possibly imagine, including leaded-glass doors and windows. I found some great antique and vintage glassware and jewelry. The owner is extremely friendly & knowledgeable. Some of the prices are a little high but she was willing to negotiate fairly.”

“I really didn't care for the old fashioned and outdated scratch test, and she's a little off putting with short blunt attitude, but really does a great job getting you the best price for your jewelry, old or otherwise. She's also very good to her repeat customers. Very good.”

“I gave Mays Beths a five star rating but I have nothing to compare them to.....So let me explain. My grandmother gave me a beautiful very old makeup vanity with a beveled oval mirror. I have been using it for a few years and finally decided to refinish it and bring out the natural warmth of the wood grain. I started sanding myself and after about 10 minutes I rethought the do it yourself option and decided to subcontract it all. I had no idea were to go and started asking around. A friends mother recommended Mary Beth's in DT Rochester. I gave them a call and talked to Jessica. She suggested bringing a photo of the piece and a drawer to see if the piece was worth refinishing and to give me a estimate. They are located in a workshop behind a house in the neighborhood just west of the downtown. Jessica took lots of time to look at my photo and drawer and then showed me several pieces they were working on in various stages of completion. We agreed on a price $500.00. This included pick up and delivery, stripping it down to bare wood, staining to my color choice and a finish coat. This was in May, I had to stop in several times to approve the stripping, approve the stain color as it was applied to my piece and then final inspection before they delivered back to me in August. It is now the best looking piece in my place. They did a great job. The finish was flawless and to my surprise even the inside of the drawers were done as nice as the outside. The final test was when my granny came over, When she saw it she had to sit down and stare, as she cried a little she said it was more beautiful then when she got it as a girl. I don't think there was a dry eye in the room. So nothing to compare then to in my experience, but in my case they are grandmother approved !”

“I went to All Around the House Interiors for home decorating advice. She did a great job of matching me with paint color choices and made other great recommendations while at my home I would not have thought of. Her store also has great refurbished products I would recommend checking out.”
