let me start by saying that the manager Tom is a very abrasive man. My company stored a trailer on the property and had an inside rental. One day I came to pickup some equipment and the gate wouldn't open, so I knocked on the office door and called, I didn't get a response. I went in through the access doorway like every one else was doing. The other tenants were manually lifting and lowering the exit gate to leave. I loaded my equipment went to the exit gate and it still didn't open. The meter showed no power to the controller. ( I used to build and modify the electronics for these security gates and when no power is detected the gate can be lifted manually just in case there is someone stuck on the property, or in the event of an emergency or the manager isn't available to open manually). If there is power detected, no one can lift it because it electronically locks. I manually lifted the gate, Tom showed as the gate was lifting, The first thing he said was I broke the system. I tried to explain what happened, he turned his back and said I have to pay for the damage and the gate had just been repaired a few days before. I told him to call the company that repaired it because they did something wrong, plus it should be a warranty. I told him to look at the video. He said didn't need to look at the video. He told me if I didn't pay that he would kick my company out. My associate urged me to pay because he had been renting for a number of years and locally accessible for him. I refused because I didnt break the system. My supervisor tried to explain and Tom did the same thing to him. Just just ignored the logic. So, with a gun to my head I paid. My company took the money from my monthly bonus. So, forward months ahead. ( I know Tom doesn't like me and I don't care for him I should have found another place to store, but business is business), My company purchased another trailer while we waited for the new one to be delivered I parked my personal trailer in the spot. Tom locked me out and said I wasn't authorized to have my trailer on his site and was going to tow it. My associate trird to defuse the situation by offering to pull the trailer himself, but tom refused to budge. I had to get the Waterford police involved. They offered to escort me to get my property. Fortunately on the day of the escort my associate used his pass code and retrieved my trailer. Some people just don't like Brown.
