Good afternoon. Well my experience with your car rental agency in Waterford at the airport was nothing short of horrible! The vehicle that they provided me with was not clean on the outside at all. It was full of dust, dirt, dirty windows and it looked as if though it had gone through a hail storm and had damage to it. The inside smelled like someone had a smoking party inside of it and left cigarette ash all over the inside of the vehicle. They also left the cigarette paper in the back seat. I was extremely confused to how any consumer was be expected to drive off in a vehicle that was in this condition. I went inside the office 3 different times to complain and the worker said he couldn’t out me in a different car because there wasn’t one similar available. I asked if he could put me in a larger vehicle that was clean and he said no because I prepaid. He then said he would call me later to bring it back up to the airport so he could clean it out. He didn’t call. So I went myself the next day and asked why he didn’t call me to bro g the car back, and he literally says “I was supposed to call you?” If I didn’t have 2 funerals to go to and if I didn’t have family coming into town at a different airport I would have demanded my money back. Customer care said they would give me a 1 day refund. I had to fight for a 3 day refund. I honestly thing the way the vehicle looked I should have been given a full refund. Secondly, I returned the vehicle on Sunday… I called customer care to make sure I could drop it off after hours and the young lady I spoke to said “yes there is a drop box there”. I get there and there is no drop box. I had to call care back and they told me I could leave it at the office but I would be responsible for any damage that might be caused if I left it unattended. I told the told lady I have that I had a flight to catch and she didn’t offer any other solution. This experience has definitely made me not want to rent from Avis again.

Worst rental location ever. Their website says they take debit card and you don’t need a credit card I get there and they tell me their website is wrong They left me stranded outside without a ride I had flagged down a mailman to take me to a public location so I could get an Uber The 20 something year old kid actually said “f you” to me on the way out the door. Never ever ever rent a car from this location

After taking 24 hours to actually get the car that we rented I had to drive to three locations that did not have the vehicle in the vehicle I wanted was filthy and ended up with a vehicle I didn’t need

I had an unexpected breakdown of my personal vehicle and made a last-minute reservation at this location. I am an Avis Preferred member due to my companies relationship and loyalty to Avis, spending 10s of millions of dollars each year with them. I knew it I would barely make it there before they closed, but it allowed me to make a reservation online for 6 PM, which was their closing time. While en route to the office, I tried to call multiple times to let them know I may not make it there until 5 mins after 6 and see if they could help. I had to call 8 times on my way in a 30 min span before someone finally answered at 550PM. I was only 14 minutes away at this point when a woman answered with an attitude, asking what I want. I start with "I have a reservation for today.. she rudely interrupts me in the middle of my sentence, with "hold" proceeding to place me on hold. It was obvious she was never returning to the call. Planning to leave me there until they closed. Sure enough, after waiting on hold for 10 minutes. At 6 p.m., I decide to call from my work phone to keep my place on hold.The same lady that left me on hold answers with, "we're closed." I tell her I was on hold on the other line and explained the situation and that I was only 3 minutes away. She said "nope were are closed." I said, so no one is still there? She replies again with an attitude, yes, but we are closed, I don't know what you don't understand about that.I'm a firm believer in customer service and corporate/customer loyalty benefits/relationships. I probably drop past 10 rental car companies I could, and next time, I will use instead. I'm my reservation was noticed and the time it was made for. I tried to call for 30 min prior to them closing before getting through. Just to be ignored long enough for them to close. Save your money and go to a location that appreciates your business and respects you as a customer. If this location is OK with employing people with no customer service skills in a customer relations position. They do not deserve your business. After a 45 min drive with my wife and kids and arriving at 604PM, I was turned around to drive back home and forced to lose a day of work/pay for the following day without transportation to get there. Hopefully, the extra 10 minutes she saved herself by refusing to help in any way was valuable to her.

The lady who checked us in was very nice, van was clean and she went over the van with us looking for any damages. Will definitely be back

i made a reservation thru the uber app. rates were much better that way. but they don't tell my all the requirements and stipulations and whatnot. so i got there right before they closed only to find out that they can't rent to me. i was pissed, so i rented from enterprise instead

Manny, our service representative, was so helpful and such a pleasure to work with. One of the best car rental experiences I've ever had. I'll definitely recommend this location to friends and family.

Avis representative Manny made the process easy, enjoyable and had the car prepped and ready to go. The Santa Fe vehicle was perfect in every way. Great fuel mileage, roomy enough for a family and all available options for a comfortable experience.

Customer Service was great and they will go out there way to make sure you leave satisfied ☺️ I rent my vehicle's from the Avis at the airport in Waterford! I don't have any complaints but one! They need more vehicles !

Worst experience. The car was filthy, but we cleaned it before our trip. The worst was the roadside service; the car broke down on the expressway at 8 pm. Unfortunately, Avis could not help us that night at all, so my husband, myself, and our three children were on the side of a busy expressway in the dark until 0100 because we had to get our tow truck, and find a hotel and wait until 1 pm the next day for Avis to get us a car. They were fine with leaving us there and finding ourselves. I hate to admit this, but I used to work at Avis as an Airport manager back when they believed in customer service; I never left a person on an expressway that long. You found the closest 24-hour operation to get them a car, and if you couldn't get the car to them in a timely manner, you found a cab to get the customer to a SAFE environment. I am embarrassed for this company and will never rent AVIS or Budget. Former coworkers who also no longer work there left because customer service has completely gone out the window.

This review is for the Avis Car Rental at Oakland County Airport.Manny and Vince are friendly and helpful. We drive 30 minutes passing other Avis car rentals on the way to rent from them.
