Horrible experience, just go somewhere else.Booked a truck a week in advance, showed up the morning of my move and when someone finally came of the back was told there was no trucks and no idea when they would have any. No call or email to let me know. Asked for them to just cancel and return my money then and I went elsewhere (which ended up cheaper too.)Worst part a week later I got charged $150 no show fee because they failed to even cancel.

I wouldn't give one star but I had to. Same problem as everyone else. I uber to this location and " we don't have any vehicles".like this doesn't happen every single day here. Don't waste money or time here. Any other place is better.

I reserved a truck on the website, had to wait several hours before I made the long drive to Waterford, only to find out they didn't have any trucks. This cost me a job and a lot of money when I could have just rented from Penske and not had any problems at all. Do not rent a truck from Budget if you actually want to pick one up. I will never do business with them again.

Don't waste your time. These peopledon't care about their customers at all. I ubered to this location only to find out that the car I reserved was not available. My aunt just passed away and Im clearing her condo to find a renter. Im 10 hrs away from home and don't know anyone in the area. The staff here are very insensitive and wouldn't even offer to help find alternate solutions. They wouldn't even bother to call you upon confirmation to give you a heads up. They just let you show up and figure it out yourself. You would think this is basic customer service. Save yourself the trouble and get a uhaul

Absolutely the worst rental experience I've ever had. I made a reservation, and they did not have a car for me when I arrived. They made no effort to help me and the worker at the store was extremely rude. Avoid this place at all costs.

I would give no stars if I could. I received a call this morning to tell me the truck I reserved two days ago is not available, was never available and there is nothing available through December. I made this reservation early Monday, received my booking confirmation, received an email for me to verify my insurance the following day, and then got this call today. Not only did I wipe this off my to-do list after my reservation was confirmed but now struggling to find available trucks with limited notice. I also took the time to contact my insurance company to verify I had the appropriate coverage. The guy that called acted like this was no big deal, happens all the time. The website isn't right, they get information on reservations late, don't call people right away to let them know that there is truly no availability, etc. Stay away from Budget when moving. Save yourself a headache and book somewhere else so you know you actually have a moving vehicle on the day of your move. No one needs that stress!

Terrible service. Reserved a box truck online to move furniture. When I got to the rental office, they told me that they have no trucks available and call customer service. Guy at the desk was very rude and couldn't care less. Told me that they don't guarantee equipment. Called customer service. After 30 minutes they got back to me and told me there were no available trucks in 30 mile radius and to "go shop the competition." How can a company operate this way? I had movers that I had to pay to sit and wait where I went to the competition and paid more last minute.

Rented a cargo van for a business delivery. Clean, smooth ride, friendly folks at the counter. The Speedway across the street made it easy to refuel before returning.

I just hope I have this kind of experience from rental car companies in the future. The employees were courteous and helpful, the price was excellent, and they upgraded me from a mid-size to full-size SUV PREMIUM MODEL. Nice!!! Esasy pick-up and drop-off.

I want to give thanks and appreciation to Donna Kennedy and Tracy Ziska for helping me with a trip that was more than challenging. My friend Gina and myself rented a budget truck from Florida and drove it back to Michigan. Let’s say it was a struggle and a long story about 2 Mimi’s and a truck. Donna and Tracy made it right! It’s not often this happens where 1 employee goes out of their way but 2 did here. They listened and did the right thing! We are grateful and they deserve praise for how they handled this situation. I hope the company decides to do things better in the future. Thank you so much Tracy and Donna

Rented a truck in Waterford a week in advance. My fiancée and I drove our car from our house in LaPorte Indiana to pick up furniture from my Parents house in Waterford. After the 3h30min drove across the state, we were ON OUR WAY to Budget to pick up our truck at the scheduled time. While on the way, 10 minutes before I’m supposed to get the truck, they decide to call me and tell me that they don’t have a truck available for me! We were left scrambling for a minute, but went to UHaul where we had a truck 5 minutes later. BUDGET STILL CHARGED MY ACCOUNT FOR $75 after they Cancelled on me!!! Unbelievable. UHaul is more on the pricey side, but seriously with the trouble Budget causes, just spend the extra money and go straight to UHaul. Budget is bad bad business

We rented a truck from this location with a paid confirmation. When we arrived for our pick up we were told that THEY DID NOT have any trucks and that she showed no reservation. When I gave her our confirmation she checked the system and said oh yeah you do have one - but we have no trucks. First -- Why did they not call us when they knew there was no availability. We needed the truck to move the next day and although she called a few places, she was rude and condescending - like it was no big deal. She complained that Budget does this often. As a business, owner, it should be your staff's job to continually check for new reservations (I made it a 9 am, my pick up time was 5:30 pm) if they cannot be fulfilled I should of gotten a call immediately. I am disappointed in the way this matter was handled. To top things off, this morning Budget tried to charge me a no show fee of $75.00. Budget... I showed up to get poor customer service and no truck. I would only have assumed when you could not fulfill my reservation that the lady at the desk cancelled the reservations... but she did NOT! I am leaving this review as well as calling corporate to voice my concerns. Do not use this location just go to Uhaul - they matched the price and offered excellent customer service. Budget not only have you lost me as truck renter, but as a budget car renter too!

I recently rented a car with Budget because I was in an accident and needed a vehicle while my truck was being repaired. On Monday August 19th I went into Budget to pickup my rental. I explained I was unsure if I was going to need the rental for 1 week or 1 1/2 weeks. The lady at the desk assured me this was no problem and that I can extend the rental for a $10 fee... which I had no problem with. To start it off not so great, I got charged more than my rental amount because she forgot to adjust the length I was going to have my rental. So I had a pending charge of over $400 which was only supposed to be around $250. It was explained to me that it will only be a pending charge and the additional charges will drop off and adjust itself. I was a little uneasy about this but just had to go with it. I get into the vehicle which was a Blue Hyundai Electra and it was filthy. I get it... no one is perfect.. however; I could not see out of the back window or windshield because it was so smeared. I was really disappointed. So I got stuck cleaning the vehicle inside and out. No one did a walk around with me to make sure there was no damage on the vehicle. So lets fast forward to Friday August 23rd. I called Budget to extend my rental to Tuesday August 27th because the collision shop was not done with truck repair. I was told over the phone about the $10 extension fee which was no big deal. However, I was NOT made aware that the price of my little economy car was going to DOUBLE in price. So here I am driving it until Tuesday the 27th. Tuesday comes around and I had to extend it 2 more days because my truck was going to be ready on Thursday the 29th. Once again I was told over the phone about the $10 extension fee which was no big deal. I was NOT made aware that the price of my little economy car was going to DOUBLE in price. So Thursday the 29th rolls around, I return the car on a full tank and cleaner than when I picked it up. The lady at the desk hands me my paperwork and tells me by bill is around $640. Now I had the car a week and a half, I would NEVER have paid that much money for a small economy car. To rent a truck it is not even that much. So when I asked why it was so much, I was told that when I extended the car rental, the price per day went up. No one told me any of that information.. had they told me, I would have never extended the rental and would have went somewhere else where it was going to be the original price and or cheaper. When I expressed my concern to the lady at the desk she told me to call the customer service number. So I did, I spoke to a supervisor who then transferred me to the billing department because they would be able to provide me some sort of compensation because the information was not clear about pricing. Let me tell you, I have NEVER been more insulted in my life. The lady on the phone from billing was EXTREMELY disrespectful to me. She refused to transfer me to someone else when we were getting nowhere with the conversation. She actually argued with me and told me no because she "knew what she was doing". Never in my life would I expect someone to talk to the customer that way. They only offered me a $40 credit because the car was dirty... what about the other additional $160 I was overcharged? She told me too bad not her problem. I was dumbfounded and then she quickly hung-up the phone on me. I have been using Budget for many years and have done over 25+ rentals with Budget. I will NEVER AGAIN be using Budget. They stole money from me that I cannot get back and as the customer, they did not care about me or treat me with respect.
