Brought my car here on recommendation of the tow driver when my alternator blew. Saw good reviews so gave it a shot. Cost seemed pretty high for the job compared to others but my car was already there so just figured I'd eat it and get it over with. Had to bury my pride and ask a friend to use their debit so I could afford it. I'm a pretty poor person and rarely have 10$ in my pocket. So this is a huge deal to me. Tried calling for no less than 2 hours straight to arrange payment and all I got was a busy signal. So in a panic to get the car back ASAP so I could make it to work because I really couldn't afford to miss my shift, I bothered a friend who had other stuff to do, just to get a ride up there so I could pay and get the ball rolling, and when I finally got there to talk to someone and asked why nobody was answering the phone I was just told they were busy and didn't have time for it. Which is fantastic when your only transportation is up there and you're trying to find out what's going on. Then I was told cash only and that's just how it was, when all I had was my friends debit. Wanted $500 upfront and would debit the rest. So wasted my only chance to get this handled and was sent off with "yeah that's tough, come back with cash" attitude and I no longer had the option to make that happen. Had they answered the phone I could have avoided all this. Said he needed cash for the part, and when I asked if I could just go buy the part on my card and bring it back... Nope can't do that either, for whatever reason. So lost my hours at work (hopefully I'm still employed) couldn't get the fix even though I had a perfectly working debit card (said he couldn't take the card because it wouldn't process till after the weekend? Yeah in 1990 maybe). And had to eat the now pointless tow fees. Had a family member go up there later on to try and get something done and all a sudden he's got the part? Yet I was told earlier he couldn't get it without cash. I dunno if he just needed beer money for the weekend or what. But this was a terrible experience and completely screwed me over for even trying to do business with them. These guys may be good mechanics, and maybe he was just having a bad day or something, but put me through hell and cost me hundreds of dollars in tows and lost wages ill never recoup and is going to make my life much harder than it already is. Besides having to beg someone to let me use their debit card so I could afford the bill, and rides to the place just so I could speak to someone, all for nothing. So my experience was if you don't have cash don't bother, if you're looking for someone who actually wants to get you back on the road and will work with you without being seemingly dishonest don't bother. We had it towed yet again to another shop and was 350$ less for the job. And they take debit. I don't like leaving sh*tty reviews for small businesses, but this messed me over so bad I couldn't let it just slide. I'm sure other people have had good experiences with them, and may be a good shop if you're there at the right time, but I'll never be coming back. Like I said, I'm a poor person, and wasting money I didn't have to spend just for interacting with this place is beyond infuriating. I don't think the world revolves around me, and definitely understand being busy or short handed, but I can't remember the last time I felt so insulted or screwed over by a business.Service: Engine repair

This shop is horrible. The owner just got out of jail for an OWI. The Mechanics Keith and Tiffany, after smelling beer on their breath, are alcoholics and is currently drinking on the job as I speak. Owner (Bob) tolerates it which says alot regarding his integrity.I went in for a simple timing chain replacement, which I brought the part in, truck running and everything just to be told after tearing my truck down they don't wanna work on it any longer and it doesn't run anymore. Why because obviously they broke something or have no experience in that field but says I need a new motor. So asked them if they'll just put it back together and they said no. Get it towed out there shop. After 2 weeks of having my truck and lying saying it's taken apart and new chains are ready for installation. I do landscaping so they cost me money as well. All b.s. because old timing chains weren't even off yet. Actually freeze leaking on tow truck and everything. Very dishonest people and alcoholics. See pictures of proof and I intend on getting them shut down.Bbb up next. Save your money and avoid R and B auto.Service: Engine repair

On our way to get an alignment and saw their sign for an alignment special for 49.99 so pulled in. They started the alignment and made me aware it was for the front end only not all 4 tires which I assumed. But she instantly made it right by saying it's not my fault and will honor the $50 4-wheel alignment and they need to change their sign so there's no confusion. They were in constant communication with me and treated us great while waiting. We were informed the rear end could not be aligned due to shocks and struts needing to be replaced. I told him we just had $1,300 worth of work done on the rear end to hopefully fix the issues (the other shop never said the shocks and struts needed to be replaced). We had the receipt from the other shop so he looked it over and said he'll see what they did. He showed me that the other shop didn't even replace all the parts they charged us for and was even missing a bolt on the hub bearing they did replace. Big thanks to them for pointing that out and than they went even further by saying today was free of charge. They aligned our front end, aligned the rear end the best they could and pointed out what the other shop didnt do for FREE. Honestly the best experience at an auto shop I've ever had. They are genuinely honest, good people up there. I usually do work on my cars myself so I dont have to deal with shady auto shops. R&B Auto is not one of them. Will definitely be back.

I asked them to fix my camber bolts and they asked 50 dollars. No results and obviously wasn't touched, they just repositioned my vehicle to make it look like they took it In I don't believe they did at all. I wouldn't trust them with anything but alignments seeing how it's easier for them than anything else. Thanks for nothing

This was literally the worst experience I have ever had with a shop, Bob told me he would try to get my car in on Friday if I had it dropped off in time, I called him Monday and he didn't seem to even know if my car was in his lot, told me he would go and look and then hung up. I then couldn't get ahold of anyone until Wednesday, spoke to a different employee who listened to my complaints and was very apologetic and told me they would talk to Bob about giving me a discount, all the while still no one ACTUALLY knows what's wrong with my vehicle, finally I get a call from Bob and he tells me $700 for an alternator change, $600 if I give him cash, and when I asked about the discount his employee mentioned to me all he said was he would try to get it in that day, which I had already heard from him several days before. This shop is the most unprofessional shop I have ever encountered, do not give them your business. If I could leave no stars I would.

We had all of our 8 spark plugs and ignition coil replaced with no prior appointment. Previously, other shops had refused to do this job, due to the age and the type of van (Ford E-150) we have. Bob and his team who are super friendly and professional made it possible and finished this job within few hours. After 30,000 miles and almost a year later, they are still running strong. Go Team Bob.

The service was not acceptable he has had my daughter's truck for a week and didn't try to repair it until Friday so now she has to wait until Monday to see if they get it done she was going to take it somewhere else on Thursday and when she informed him he lied and said he was getting it in that day when I questioned him he said oh we got busy very unprofessional

I went there for a wheel alignment they told me I needed a part that cost me with labor $294.74 I got the wheel alignment. Took a trip up north came back my wheels were shaking I went back to them I asked them if they checked everything in the front end they said they always do they charge me $66 for the wheel alignment and something for them to tell me it shouldn't have been done. They said my tie rod ends were loose two top ball joints were bad upper control arm bushings were bad. So. They said nothing and I lost money and they couldn't help me to the alignment now
