I was thinking AmeriGas was more expensive but then became aware there are AmeriGas rebates! I just wish someone had mentioned the rebates earlier.

I only had amerigas because their tank was on the property I bought. The service was horrible and after canceling service only took 2 years to come get their tank. Now warning that they were coming. No phone call, e-mail, or any sort of customer service in sight. If I could give the zero stars I would. A compete failure of a company.

I paid in full with a preorder online and was given a delivery window. My delivery was not made within the window time and I never received an update. My delivery was only made after I inquired through the online chat feature (which was unhelpful) and then the email portal.

UPDATE:16 months after cancelling our service with AmeriGas they have yet to pick up their tank. I have requested it to be picked up multiple times and have also had pick up appointments scheduled and they never show. This whole company is a joke and will pursue legal action in the next month if my issue is not resolved. - Best part - they sent me a bill for the Tank they have not picked up. What a JOKE!If I could put 0 stars I would. This local station as well as the whole company is nothing but a run around and a disgrace. Drivers don't respect property, or do what thy are told. I was told the drivers would leave a delivery ticket and have never had one. Never notifies of delivery or bill/invoice available even though we were signed up for notifications via text and email. They have let us run out of propane twice in the last 2 years even though we are on the autofill program and paid our bills on time. Filed 6 complaints over the 2 years we had them and only had 1 follow up (each complaint requires a follow up). In the end if you want customer service and reliable propane go elsewhere! The rates at AmeriGas are on average $.50 cents higher without a cap during winter months.

Never in my life have I experienced such poor customer service from a company. AmeriGas has repeatedly failed to respond to my request for a tank pick up. Their 'Customer Experience Advocates' located in Asia are difficult to understand and apparently have a hard time comprehending my request - even after several attempts to communicate with them. Then after having the tank pick up scheduled on two different occasions, AmeriGas has failed to show up. Now, after almost 12 weeks of the old tank sitting at the end of my driveway, they've once again scheduled a tank pick up. We'll see if anyone shows up.

We were told that someone would be coming out to fill our tank, no show. I call and got someone from the Philippines and i could not understand them. Or could they understand my situation.

AmeriGas has horrible service and I am never going to use them again unless they make changes. I ordered and paid for a routine propane delivery on 5/12/23. Was given delivery date to be between 5/13/23 to 5/17/23 which is the standard promise from them. Today (2 weeks after ordering) and I am STILL WAITING for delivery. Any attempt to communicate with AmeriGas is only through the 800 number to a call center in a foreign country. Unfortunately those employees are given very little leeway in the way of problem solving or even communicating with customers. They seem to only read off a script and when I ask a question, they repeat the same unhelpful line from their script. They are unable or not allowed to think outside the box or use their own minds to problem solve AT ALL. When you ask for a manager or supervisor - you only get more narrow minded script readers. There seems to be NO ONE that a customer can talk to that can actually problem solve. ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE! I dread finding a new propane provider, changing tanks, waiting for credits to be reimbursed and all that - but I dread staying with AmeriGas WORSE!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE all the way around. I paid an additional $300 for expedited delivery which didn’t happen. I made many stressful calls to customer service which had a different EXCUSE with each call. Or they literally were just reading from prompts without listening to the actual issue. I will be switching to a more knowledgeable company as soon as my tank runs out. Not to mention the prices are almost $2 higher per gallon than the competitors with my last fill. Shame on them.
