Was looking for a pickup truck from Ed Kohens website to test drive. I called Ed Kohen of Greenville to see if the truck was still available. They later got back to me telling me that someone was scheduled to look at the car the following day and transferred me to Ed Kohen of Wayland where the car was located. I asked the sales representative if I could still test drive it today and take a look at it to possibly purchase. He said yes it is available to test drive. I told him I was on my way to come and take a look at it. Once I arrived I was informed that I could not test drive the car because it had a hold on it and money down for the customer that was looking at it the following day. The following day I called the business manager to discuss my grievances with what had happened. The trip between where I live and Wayland is nearly a hundred mile round trip. I asked the business manager to be compensated for that round trip due to his sales representatives having bad information being sent to me. The business manager of the Ed Kohen of Wayland then begins to braid me over the phone and tell me that it's my fault that I came to the dealership to drive that car that wasn't available even though I was told it was, and that he won't do anything to compensate my trouble despite the fact that one of his sales reps the night prior had told me that he would compensate me for my trouble, but only if I bought a car from them. Please be sure that if you are looking to test drive a vehicle at this Ed Kohen location that you call the business manager and not speak to any sales representatives because apparently the sales representatives don't know what's on their own lot and you will only get anywhere if you talk to this business manager right away.

Don and the team at Ed Koehn Ford are amazing! I have bought my last three vehicles from Don, and I have never been disappointed. Everybody I have ever spoken to there has been personable and friendly.

I bought a Ford fusion from this place from Don best car I've ever owned, I recently had a issue after my warranty expired the transmission seized, I had no Idea what to think , brought it in and it was a bushing for the linkage came off of the gear box, they fixed it immediately, Tom in service did a great job , and Don was awesome in helping me get it done very quickly. I would recommend this place and Don Shudark to anyone buying a car.

My husbands F150 had some transmission issues. Tom made the process as easy as it could be and the price was more than fair. Never have I experienced customer service like this at a dealership. Tom spoke to us like a friend and he was very honest, knowledgeable and upfront. Highly recommend Tom in the service department.

Had a great experience buying from here. Our sales man John and the rest of the staff were so kind to my family. I definitely recommend.UPDATE! We continually keep having a GREAT experience with Ed Koehn, from sales, financing to the service department every one is over and beyond helpful and kind. We just had a brutal nightmare experience with Borgman Ford in Grandville and Ed Koehn came to the rescue quickly and so professional. I will never bring my car any where else again. These guys are the real deal.

BEWARE BEWARE!! Bought a car online from this dealership and after Transport truck dropped off the battery was dead, tires dry rotted, had been completely misrepresented and was lied to about the condition of a higher end car. I wouldn't buy anything from them especially without having someone trustworthy look at it. Because they are not trustworthy at all.

Worst service I’ve ever had. They don’t even deserve the one star. Chris in the service department “helped” me, tried to charge me almost $300 for doing nothing to my car and was just a jerk. Had an appointment for an oil change and asked them to look at a couple things on my car. Dropped my car off and went to pick it up 24 hours later and the oil change was never even done. Will not be going back, definitely not the first horror story I’ve heard about this place. Do yourself a favor and find a different place to service your vehicle.

Had a wonderful experience recently buying a new car from here! Don took great care of me and really went above and beyond in making sure I had the right vehicle for my wants and needs! We know car salesman are supposed to super nice and friendly and we wonder if it's genuine but working in customer service for several years I believe has made me a really good judge of character and I can tell you that Don is so genuine! Very happy with Don and team. Go to Ed Koehn Wayland and ask for Don :)

Terrible service. I had my car 1 day and the check engine light came on. Also found there was a hole in washer fluid reservoir, so it didn't get checked over prior to going on the lot. They have had my car now for more than 3 weeks and no one can tell us the status. We're getting a complete run around. This is just a few things so far, too many to mention. We're so unhappy with the entire experience. The 1 star rating is too much.

The staff at Ed Koehn is AWESOME! I worked with Cam to purchase my car and he went above and beyond the call of duty. I purchased from out of state and he made sure I always had the information, answered every question, and even video chatted with me to show the car. I am grateful to Cam and the team at Ed Koehn Ford for making the whole purchase process a breeze. Buying a car can be really stressful, but the support I received made it easy.

We just got our 2020 ford edge back after they diagnosed and "fixed" the problem. As my wife was driving home, about 5 minutes out of the lot the check engine light came on again, so she has gone back to them. Notes on the paperwork say it was fixed and check engine light didn't come on after they checked it. Oddly enough I had a white f150 that I took in for service several years ago where they said it's fixed and they tested it, yet when I was waiting to pull out of their lot my check engine light popped on and I pulled right back into their service department. They again "fixed" it, and I paid for a now second repair. Later that day the check engine light came on again, I took it back to their service department, this time I was told I would need a whole new engine, this was true, the engine for that model and year were known for being garbage at the exact miles that were on mine. This info was all over the internet and message boards. It strangely resembles my current situation. I have yet to mention that when they spoke with me they said, "this may not fix the problem", and even though I felt a pit in my stomach and paused I eventually said ok do the work. My wife is there right now so I can't conclude this post except to say I didn't trust them after the white truck incident but it had been many years so I gave them another shot and I have that same I trusted the wrong person feeling again. Today's repair $700, what's to come I don't know, I do know I HAVE paid them just under $3000 in repairs in only 2 different service incidents with NO repairs completed. Oh also when I bought my edge I ordered door visors for it and their service department installed them, they completed the work, I got home , went to put my son in his car seat I couldn't open the door because the visor was installed wrong. I took that visor off and reinstalled it myself.

07/14/23 – 8 am: My F-150 had a bad transmission fluid leak. Called and spoke with Tom Rowlette @ Ed Koehn Ford of Wayland. Was told I could bring my vehicle in for a diagnostic. Brought the vehicle in at 9 am.07/14/23 – 5 PM: Called and spoke with Tom. He said his mechanic peeked at it and it looked like it might be coming from the transmission cooling lines.07/15/23 – Spoke with Tom. He said it was definitely the cooling lines and he would plan on having the vehicle back to me in a few days. So far so good!07/17/23 – 1 PM: Tom called and provided me with 2 options: A – Fix trans lines + flush/fill fluid for $2000; or, option B – include the work from option A, plus replace the spark plugs, flush/fill engine coolant, and replace the rear diff gear oil for $3200, which he called a significant discount. Told him I needed time to process, which I did. Told him I would call him back.07/17/23 – 1:30 PM: Called a local repair shop in Zeeland and asked them for a “rough” quote on replacing the transmission cooler lines on a 2013 Ford F-150. He said he just did one the week prior and it was around $450-500 out the door (Assuming after-market parts and not OEM).07/17/23 – 2 PM: Called Tom back and expressed my concern about the price of his quote. Told him I would need to see a detailed quote in writing before I would agree to anything. Asked him to e-mail me one, and he said he would.07/18/23 – 10:30 AM. Tom emailed me a price breakdown of the parts. All of which were around 100% markup from what I could purchase OEM parts from any dealer or any online retailer. Not to mention they were charging me 3x retail for transmission fluid, which I would have already been paying for if I agreed the flush/fill they suggested and wanted to charge me an additional $360 for.07/18/23 – 2:30 PM. Sent Tom an email follow-up explaining that I didn’t think it was fair that I should pay a 100% or greater markup on parts and told him that I called around to other shops and they quoted 4 to 5 hours to do the job. Asked if he would drop the price of parts from $700 to $450 and labor from $840 to $700.07/18/23 – 3:00 PM Tom called me and said he “spoke with his parts dept”. and they would do 436.70 for parts. I asked him if he would lower the labor rate and he said that’s what the Ford Repair Manual calls for (6 hours of labor). I told him I would be coming to pick up my vehicle.07/18/23 – 4:30 PM. Had a tow truck come and tow my F-150 to another mechanic who wasn’t trying to upsell or take advantage of me. Paid my $150 diagnostic fee and bid Tom Rowlette and his shady practices farewell. Reviewed my Invoice from Ed Koehn of Wayland when I got home and, in Tom’s notes, he claims he only quoted me for 5 hours of labor. Whatever helps you sleep at night, I guess.
