My daughter had a disappointing experience at Railside Auto Service in early June. Despite paying $1200 for initial repairs, her car broke down the very next day after picking it up from them. She initially brought her car in because it was stalling, but they decided the struts needed to be fixed for safety reasons and would not address the "stalling" concerns.
While we understand the importance of safety, we feel that the primary issue she brought her car in for was not taken seriously. This left us feeling frustrated and ripped off, especially since a different shop fixed the stalling issue for only $200 the following week after it broke down on the side of the road.
It is disheartening that her car would then stall on the highway after she spent the initial $1200. Prioritizing the struts is understandable, but you sent her off with a car that still had significant safety concerns.

We were driving on the highway when a giant metal plate flew off the back of a semi truck. It went under our car and made a really loud noise. We weren’t certain it was safe to continue driving to our destination so we pulled over to Railway Auto so see if by chance they could take a look under the car and see if everything was ok. They helped me immediately. I didn’t have an appointment or anything. They pulled my car into the garage lifted it up so they could check it out thoroughly. They were so kind and quick to help us and thankfully my car was perfect safe to drive. After doing all of this, they wouldn’t even allow me to pay them. They were truly such a blessing to my family. I cannot thank Railway Auto enough. Your kindness truly meant so much to us.

I could not be more happy with Railside and I'm so happy I found them! Here's a quick rundown, bc I hate reading long reviews. Just get to the point, please! ?
1. Their pricing is by the book, competitive standard. I've been to shops before this that were twice the labor.
2. They go the extra mile to check things out while they're in there. Preventative maintenance awareness! They saved me THOUSANDS by informing me of things that should be replaced while they had things apart. (90's trucks owner)
3. They always have time, even when they don't have time. Iykyk.
4. Will go above and beyond compared to any shop I've gone to.
Trust them. If they advise something, it's for your safety. They are not out to sabotage your vehicle, they are there to genuinely help you get taken care of.
Thanks, team!

I am from out of town and was visiting the area when my car started to act up. They were able to get me in and back on the road quick. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable.

New management sucks. Had 1 of 2 coolant lines blow behind my turbo, had the replace it. They failed to tell me the othe coolant line was dry rotted and spongy and needed to be replaced too. Within a 2 week the otherside blew and I ended up replacing a lot more than just that one coolant line because of it. Called to aske what they would charge me to Crack 2 o2 sensors loose and they said at minimum $50 .... like for real. I will never go there again. Place is now over charging everything.

It was my first time there.
Prices were great, and it was done in a timely manner.
Got a quote for other work I needed, and got to talk to a mechanic about it. Great communication.
I'll be back.

I took my Equinox to Railside Auto to have my muffler replaced and new tires put on. Pricing was very fair, the work was done in one day. Communication about my vehicle was spectacular! Awesome owners and great mechanics working there. Will definitely be back next time we have an automotive issue!

OUTSTANDING !!!! I've had two different repairs completed recently. One was an exhaust manifold. Once they started the work they informed my only one was bad and I didn't need both. They were very reasonably priced, great communication and quality work. So refreshing. The second repair was an intermittent electrical issue when starting. They test drove it a couple times, after trouble shooting identified the issue, ordered the parts needed, and the next day it was good to go. Once again, great communication, quality workmanship, and OUTSTANDING customer service. If you are looking for great automotive repair, that's timely, reasonably priced, that's done right the first time, with excellent communication, check them out!!

Check other auto shops with better reviews. When I called about a quote on getting brakes done the lady on the phone was very condescending and then took hours to message me back. Only asking me for the VIN number of my vehicle before she could do anything else. Because of how rude she was when I first talked to her on the phone. I just already contacted another auto repair service which they replied instantly and gave me a quote without needing any of the information that she required .
