Tried several times to set up an appointment to get information. Was told to be there at a certain time and no one ever showed up then was told to call and talk to someone and when I did I was told they were too busy to talk to just come up and was extremely rude on the phone.

The grand master doesnt not need to be working with children. He has a short temper and even debied my son a bathroom break. I brought my son there to help build his confidence and it did the opposite. He was unaccompaning for our schedule for my kids school and did try to work with me. For almost 120 a month it is not worth the value. Half the time the grand master couldnt even be bothered to show up and nothing can really be done without him. Like billing, questions and testing. Very unconsistant and unprofessional. Maybe he should seek therapy.

It's possible we liked going to classes even more than our kids, and they loved it at Kicks precovid. Since covid we've had another baby and moved a little further away so we haven't been in a while but we're definitely trying to arrange the time in our schedules to get back to Kicks. If you're willing to put in the work they'll definitely match your effort and help you achieve your goals. They're so family friendly and actually treat you as part of their family from the moment you walk in the door. I definitely recommend this place and can't wait to go back.

Waist of money and grandmaster is mean to women and children. He wouldn't test my kid to move up for 3 months. Whe he did test my 8 yr old he kicked his feet out from under him over n over again. He was rude to my wife and when we said were takeing them out he said we had to pay for another month first. Total rip off

When we started Kicks a few months ago, I was happy with the staff and the environment. My only concern was the lack of structure! Everything was very disorganized. The GrandMaster was kind, but a little pushy about specific things. My son seemed extremely happy there and always wanted to go back. Therefore, we decided to sign a contract and pay monthly via autopay for our son’s monthly classes. He had never missed a class before, but I became ill and he had to miss one. During this pandemic, you’re not supposed to go out when anyone in the household is feeling ill. They refused to let him make up his class, or prorate him for the next month. They basically said it is what it is. GrandMaster Rose was extremely rude, disrespectful and downright horrible. It’s supposed to be a family dojo, yet they don’t treat you like family at all. We follow the pandemic rules and are punished because of it. They escorted my son out of the class that was already paid for and then decided to let him in. It was like a game to them. Messing with a small child’s head like that really made me think twice about what kind of people were educating my son. Things got escalated and the police were called because he refused to reimburse us for the month of lessons that we’d just paid for and he insisted it had to come via check. Which makes no sense because we’ve always paid debit/credit. Needless to say, I’m disgusted by my experience. Karate is supposed to be about self control, discipline etc and the GrandMaster exhibited neither of those traits. I do not recommend this place!! It’s the same price as nicer dojos anyways and we’re the customers; we didn’t deserve that treatment. Never been treated worse as a customer.

I think Kicks Taekwondo teaches your child, not just Taekwondo, but discipline, respect, & patients. I recommend this place to anyone with a child interested or an adult intrested in learning Taekwondo.

My son is 5yrs old. He fell in love with Cobra Kai (TV Show). Which lead us to KICKS Taekwondo. He's in a program for kids his age & younger called "The little Tiger's". All of his instructor's are really nice, they teach self defense, manners, discipline & more. My son loves his class. He can't wait for Tuesday & Thursday evenings to come so he can be "The Karate Kid" lol. That's how my son puts it anyway. Master Rose & all his instructor's are amazing with the kids. For Mother's Day, KICKS is offering FREE Classes for MOM'S. Sunday-Saturday with many options for timing. It's a great place & awesome environment. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to get their kids in activities that will strengthen there muscles, their minds, & their confidence. I also recommend KICKS to adults that want to learn more about Taekwondo & anybody that wants to lose weight, turn fat into muscle, or learn self defense. Thank you everyone at KICKS Taekwondo & Fitness for giving my son something he loves to do. Especially during these hard times in the world today.

Here I learned everything I need to know. Sometimes I wanted to skip Class but now I see that It was all worth it Because I made friends learned from the best instructors in the world and I really appreciate of what a huge role they played in my life. I remember my first day I started out as 5 year old White belt who barley knew the basics to an 11 year old Black Belt who was taught everything He needed to know by the best Tae Kwon Do school there is to know. They played a huge part in my life and i couldn't imagine my life without Tae Kwon DO

Kicks is a great place to learn martial arts. The instructors are knowledgeable, and work to make sure each student learns and progresses. Some students want to learn forms. Others want to spar and compete (and they do well even at the national level). They treat their students like family. We love our kicks family.

I really wanted my son to go to KICKS. I had done a walk through and was very impressed with the cleanliness and upkeep. Durning my walk through, I met Grandmaster Rose and Instructor Ford. Truly amazing people! I am a single mom with little to no help from my ex husband. As for class times- Although, I’m sure what would work for most, I was unable to make work with my crazy schedule. However, Grandmaster Rose did inform me of an additional location ran by his oldest son, Master Rose. My brother has been able to get my son to and from this Northville location. I guess, I really only have full experience with the Northville location. However, I am certain Master Rose only learned from one of the best, his father, Grandmaster Rose. This business, family run and operated, I would hands down recommend to anyone.
