Convenient but limited, typical small grocery. Very limited on "real" healthy food.

It is nice to have a supermarket in our small village and I had high hopes when it took on new ownership. Start it out well as I didn't see as much outdated items on the shelves but the prices definitely went up and selection went down. They never seem to have everything I go there to get. What many others have said is true about the cashiers. There's a couple friendly ones that I like talking to but all of the rest do not even greet you when you get to them and say nothing to you at all until they tell you the total. If they do talk they are talking to their coworkers because they are in the middle of a conversation that obviously means more to them than their customers do. Pretty irritating.

This place has gotten really gross! It's not clean. There isn't much of what I want/need on the shelves.

Bottle returns are never in working order. They have 3 machines but only have one open.

The store is in terrible condition—moldy, falling apart, and with prices that are unjustifiably high, beyond what can be explained by inflation. The owner is on a power trip, has a troubling legal history and seeing how he has a pattern of intimidating his female employees, it seems that old habits die hard. Get it together, judgement day is coming.

Was in the store Monday haven't been in there in some time grew up out there. Sad state the store is still in. But while looking around heard a,man's voice yelling and cussing and a young lady she came out visably upset. I don't know what was going on but one would think a manager or whomever was yelling like that would have a little more tact then what was on display that particular day.

Everything is overpriced except the hot food, which isnt always hot. Cashiers will be side talking while ringing up your items, and they talk about politics and their views on everything. I used to go to this store because of the fast in and out process, but they see me as a regular now, so they are obviously trying to push their views on me. I wont be going back.
Even the cashiers go across the street to dollar general buy their groceries and drinks. Any regular that goes there and still goes there, is obviously trying to force the same political agenda.
The deli/hot food area people, dont even know how or what the metal steam pans are, that they keep their food in, or how they work.. the hot water heats the steam pans up, if the steam pans are all different heights, they are all unevenly heated.. nobody there even knows that the steam pans are called. How is that safe to eat?
On the cold food side, the food is stored at 60° it is completely unsafe to eat.
Why do they not have a temp gauge in plain view on the cold side?
I dont trust anything about the place, a 12 pack of vernors costs over $10...
Edit: i have a laser thermometer.. thats how i know the cold side is at 60°!!!!
Why didnt you mention anything about how the hot side is a complete mess with the steam pans all at different heights? Thats completely unsafe!
You are avoiding giving reasonable answers! You are trying to avoid taking the blame!
I bet you have a C rating by the inspector that inspects your deli!
Why dont you take the time to get your store in proper running order?
You are doing less than the bare minimum to keep the store alive, while keeping the prices through the roof!
I see who you are as a business owner!
