  After 1.5 years of Mathnasium and my daughter has skipped a grade of math at school. All of her tutors are very friendly. Director is very approachable and responsive. Highly recommended.

  My daughter’s been doing mathnasium for 10 months here. She tells me she is so glad she did it; she no longer panics when her teacher calls on her at school. In the beginning, she fought me on coming, but she stuck with it and ended up making the biggest improvement in her grade on her math fastbridge test at school. I don’t know what you guys did to her, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you! I no longer have to fight with her about math!

  Mathnasium has helped my children soo much! We’ve been consistent for over a year now with my middle schooler and fifth grader. This is a great boost to what they are learning in school and it fills gaps where they need it. It also convenient to have regular assistance as new concepts get taught in school for extra support. My kids have anyways been great students but this has helped ease the burden of keeping the edge they need to get A’s on tests. The staff and owner are very easy to work with and they accommodate my schedule to make it convenient! I highly recommended the program for students that are struggling in school or just need the extra push!

  This is an addition to my 2020 review. I continue to be impressed with and grateful to, the staff at Mathnasium. The owner and staff at both the Birmingham and West Bloomfield offices are engaged and compassionate individuals. They have been very effective for my grandson. who now regularly earns an "A" on math exams.2020By the 2nd grade it was obvious to me that my grandson needed more help in math than my husband and I were able to provide. The basic 1+1=2 format of the 1960’s was no longer relevant. Helping him with “simple” 2nd grade math, became frustrating for him and me, despite my doctorate level education. After researching the options available, I enrolled him in Mathnasium in July 2018. The two things that persuaded me most where the fact that all work was done at the center, rather than work sheets sent home. By this time, I didn’t want anything to do with interacting with my beloved grandson and the dreaded mathematics. Secondly, the confidence that the owner, Kimberly Smith, engendered. After we enrolled, I was initially concerned by the setting. Specifically, the open room with multiple people interacting caused an ambient noise level that I thought would be too distracting for him. I soon realized that this more adequately reflected the classroom environment than sitting in a “quiet” place. Secondly, rather than having a “designated” tutor, he rotated between different instructors. I soon found this to also be a strength. They were all on the same page, metaphorically speaking, but brought the uniqueness of their individual styles. The change in his math grades and attitude where not magically improved overnight, but definitely within a very reasonable period of time. I also appreciated that I could sit on the sidelines and observe. I soon witnessed something I had never seen before, i.e. correct answers to math questions and even an occasional smile and laughter. Lastly, I am very impressed with the speed and functionality of the conversion to an online format. Great staff and worth every dollar!

  Our son has been going to Mathnasium for a few years. He currently hold an A+ in math at 8th grade. The experience has been great and he really loves his instructor, Melissa.   Mathnasium has been a tremendous help in forming critical thinking math skills in my daughter. All the instructors have been kind, and patient, even willing to stay longer when my daughter was struggling with something. I have referred several of my friends and Co-workers.

  Kimberly and her team have definitely helped my 18 yr daughter grow in her math skills and prepare for her college exams. Kimberly hasserved as a mentor for my daughter and her personal approach to teaching is something to be admired!! I thank Mathnasium for an innovative approach to learning!

  My son is almost 16 years old. He has always struggled with math. He utilized after school tutoring at school,l and extra time with his teacher, but it just wasn’t enough. He continued to struggle and averaged a D in math. He has been going to Mathnasium for 6 months and has turned his D into a B. He received a B in math! I never thought that would happen. I am so proud of him. He is so proud of himself. Seeing his huge smile and the brightness in his eyes was amazing.

  My daughter hated math! She was very discouraged and was so mad I signed her up!. After the first day, I never had one complaint... she is gaining confidence and doesn't mind going to tutoring. She is little by little filling in the missing pieces. It's such a turn around for her and math doesn't cause har so much turmoil any more. The staff is amazing, you have made such a difference, not just in her life but in our family's ❤ Thank you so much!

  I’m a 14 year old high school student, I struggled in math this past year because my teacher lacked in good teaching ability. So my parents and I turned to mathnasium for help, they were excellent and I loved it there. I was getting tutored for my finals, my finals were very easy as I used the exact methods the tutor taught me to use. Turns out I got a 72% on my final by using the methods my tutor taught me.

  My daughter has an A in math now and is actually more confident and comfortable with math after attending Mathnasium. She has had the same math teacher for the last 2 years and at PT conferences, the math teacher was impressed with her progress and asked what had changed this year. She proudly said, “I’ve been going to Mathnasium! “. Made me very happy.

  My daughter has been struggling in math since the end of 2nd grade. We tried various math tutoring centers with no success and with a more frustrated child who hated math. When I saw the commercials for mathnasium I was thinking that it would fail us too but I was desperate to try something because she was falling further behind. We have only been enrolled 2 months so it's new but I can say that her attitude and behavior towards math has improved dramatically. Her confidence is building, she wants to do the math, and I have seen the improvement in her grades ! Thanks to Kim and her staff, my baby is actually enjoying math!
