“I appreciated the affordable cost of flowers, but did not appreciate the unsolicited parenting advice from the staff person working at checkout, “oh, you don’t have to hang those on there…I don’t want the stroller to tip over.” In response to me hanging a few items on the handles of my heavy duty stroller.
I did consider heavy load capacity when purchasing this $500 stroller, from the handlebars, seat, and all the way to the lower storage compartments. I’m an active person, and very conscientious. I’m not going to tip over my child in a stroller that I’m holding onto, and at a weight and loading angle/capacity that this stroller was specifically designed to handle.
I appreciate the concern, but it was unfounded. I’m not sure why the older generation feels such a need to provide rude comments to new mothers, but I have a feeling it was stemming from this other persons own insecurities. I recommend that staff keep insecure parenting advice to themselves. There is a time and place for everything, but that time and place is not with customer’s at a garden nursery.

That appears to have been a one off situation and all of my interactions with the staff there have been pretty great since that initial review. I do find that they have a great selection of herbs. I also had some reason to inquire about how to address issues with my herb garden and had a very knowledgeable staff member provide recommendations that ended up helping to improve the health of my garden. I am going back today to get some ideas about creating an indoor herb garden and hope to have the same positive experience.”

“This garden store was amazingly beautiful. The rows of plants reached farther back then my group ventured, and everything was so lush--lots of happy plants. My family and I had stopped here just to burn some time before meeting others for dinner nearby, so I was mostly window-shopping. There is at least one cat, and he was very friendly. He seems to have a very comfy bed/perch near the gift shop. I'm dropping a star for the way the door into the gift shop closed unpredictably; my finger got closed in the frame, which really hurt. (I'm ok! But I don't know whether it was a fluke or something that actually happens more often than it should.)”
“In and out in about 30 minutes to buy everything we needed (except the hanging hardware) to build 2 barn doors with hinges for even easier access. My DIY helper then built the doors in about 5 hours. Changed my kitchen after many years.”

“My friend was married here a couple weeks ago and the venue was absolutely magical! The dimmed lighting give such a charming and romantic. The trees, fountains, and stone wall give such an earthy feel, and the florals made the room feel enchanting. The wait staff were all very lovely and accommodating, and the bar staff did a wonderful job on the drinks. The plated filet and salmon dinner were delicious and the lamb chop hors d’oeuvre was absolutely divine!”
