Would rate a 0 if I could at 11am and 1 pm got put on hold by an AI twice and both times were an hour each no one ever came to phone

This is not specifically about the geek squad in Westland. I have used them and they are generally good. The local near monopoly wi fi provider talked me into selling my soul to them for three years. They came and installed WiFi and left my security alarm, cameras, and temperature control wall mount dead in the wind. Forget them. I thought maybe my subscription to the geek squad could get me some help. I went to the net and signed into human chat. Agent Omkarina answered the call. I asked the agent if the geek squad would give me help. The agent typed and typed and then rested, not sending anything. I prompted with ‘are you there,’ ‘did I lose you’ this went on for almost ten minutes. All I got from the agent was: thank you for being a valued Geek Squad customer. I went on to do other things and when I went back the agent had disconnected me.

The tech's are always polite and knowledgeable but there just aren't enough of them working.
During my first visit, I needed a charger for the new tablet I purchased on-line. I thought it would be an off-the-shelf item but I was told by the greeter that I had to get it at the Geek Squad.
Of course I didn't have an appointment so there were 3 people in-line ahead of me, NBD. Then as soon as they finish the person at the counter, instead of helping the next in- line, they'd ask if anyone had an appointment. My 2 minute purchase turned into a 2 hour waiting time. NOT HAPPY!

I waited 1 hour to get a Xbox and still didn't get it it was not the line or employees it was the app not working because I didn't have enough money for cash or card so I tried to use karlana and did not work today I'm coming to come back to get a ps5 and will update here

I bought a laptop online and tried to return it. It was not opened and still sealed in the delivery box. I was told there return policy was two weeks.(which is insane) However, if I wanted to pay for some type of membership they have, I would have thirty days to return things. I talked to the manager as I was only over by 1 day. His response was "I cannot do something free for you that we charge others to do". The store was empty from shoppers. Needless to say, they will soon be another empty store soon. My last item was purchased from them. I will go to stores that have customer service. The writing is on the wall here!

This place is terrible. We tried to return a computer and were over the 14 day return policy by two days and they wouldn't let us return it. They also wanted us to purchase a membership if we wanted to return it in 90 days. This is useless and this is also why this store is empty. They said contact support online at Best Buy and maybe they can return it ok but if they can then why can't you do it. Would not recommend better off going somewhere else.

Be careful taking a computer to this store for repair. I Took my computer in to the Westland store on Wednesday. My computer would not turn on. Switch I felt had been going for a while. sometimes it was hard to turn on. The person behind the counter Dark hair, beard and glasses took a look at it. He plugged it in and couldn't get it to turn on. He took it into the back for 5-7 minutes and came out. He said it could be the Mother Board, Switch or short in the Mother Board. He told me I needed to upgrade it. He could take everything off of the hard drive and transfer it. It was a DELL PC and XPS model. I knew it wasn't the Mother Board as I had a computer with a bad one before and it was working just fine. He wouldn't install a new switch and try it. Recommend I take it to a computer store and recommended someone another computer store. I know why now I took it home and my son came over and manually blew on the thick dust under the switch and it came right on. He then used a blower just for this and it's fine. This was an expensive computer 7 years old I get it but I bought as much memory as I could when I bought it. Had a computer worked on there years ago and they did a good job. something has changed there. i also found out today that someone else took there computer there and ended up buying a new one. Never again.

Biggest rip off ever! I was told when I bought my new phone that Geek Squad would be available for all my technical devices. I called Geek Squad this morning for assistance with a printer only to be told I would have to purchase an upgraded plan for $206 after already spending $200 at the time I purchased the phone. SCAM!
