My son brought our dog in who was sick. Ran some test and gave him anti-biotics. The bill was almost $800. They said to bring him back for the next three days for antibiotics. That will cost between $130-$140 additional each day. OUR DOG DIED 4 hours after getting home. I asked if they would consider any type of discount since I paid all that money and he died hours after getting home. Was told they would ask their corporate office and get back to me. I Never heard back. Called back two weeks later and was told the manager was at the corporate office and will get back to you. Finally got a call today to say no we cannot help with any discounting. I think giving someone the runaround after they have lost their pet is terrible. It shouldn't have taken two weeks and for me to call back to get an answer. BTW I used to board my dog there until one time I picked him up and he was so thirsty he drank a huge bowl of water non-stop. It was obvious they hadn't given him any water all day. I used to think this place was OK.

This place is a joke.. I first started taking my cat here when she was a kitten for her vaccinations because I thought they were affordable and nice. But after today I won’t be coming here again. I brought her here for a check up and the vaccines that she was due for and when I come in they show me the vaccines they’re doing along with a blood panel. I never asked for a blood panel and why does she even need one she’s a year and a half old. So they took off the blood panel and then took her back for her exam and vaccines. Lady comes back in with cotton swabs of dark ear wax and then tells me she might have an ear infection and asked if I wanted them to check I said yes then she told me It was going to be $32 for that.. why though shouldn’t this be included in the exam I’m already paying like $40 for ?? But I care for my cats health so I said sure go ahead. They come back in and tell me she has a “significant” ear infection and asked if I wanted to purchase the treatment (she had no signs of ear infection but I said yes of course and they take her back) they didnt tell me the name of the medicine, never saw them put it on her) nothing!! So I go up to the counter to pay after they had treated her and clean her ears then I’m looking at the paper the lady handed me and I’m reading that shes 4 pounds and I’m then confused because she’s 1 1/2 years old so how exactly is she 4 pounds?! I ask the lady that’s at the front desk before they bring out my cat and she said that she would go double check because it didn’t sound right then comes back out and says that she is 4 pounds that they just double checked. I weighed my cat 3 weeks ago when I put her monthly flea prevention on and she was 9 pounds. So there’s no way my cat weighs 4 pounds this place is ridiculous. Where’s the proof? I will stick to Lincoln park vetinarary hospital where I can see my cat being examined in the room I’m sitting in. Who knows what they even did for her or if she even had an ear infection or her ears were just dirty. I give this place 0 big rip off

I have been using Healthy Paws for 18 years now. I haven't seen Dr. Steve in a while but the other Doctors are all great. Caring staff, reasonable prices, good hours, I cannot complain. I have had many dogs go through their doors and I have been pleased with their care. All of the staff really care about your furry family member as if they were their own. When I picked up my girl from a few day vacation (boarding) she was excited to see me but I could tell she bonded with the staff. The gentleman that was taking care of her was sad to see her go. Even when you have to say the final goodbye as much as is possible the staff make it easier. They are very respectful. As I said my oldest has been with them since they were next door to the pet shop east of where they are now. I moved out of state but on a visit home she got sick, I called them and they said bring her in. They took care of her as they always did. When I moved back if course I brought my pack to them for their care. My dogs go their when my parents had dogs they went their. Love you guys at Healthy Paws.

This is one of those places that claim to be affordable but is not. $58 for a fecal sample?! Charges a pet exam with every DHLPP vaccine? Since when can't licensed vert techs give vaccines? They quoted me $500-$600 for a dog spay & hernia repair, I took her to Huron Valley and for $360 they did the spay, hernia repair and rabies vaccine. If you're looking for affordable- go to Huron Valley!

Took our pup here for the first time today and the staff was incredibly lovely to him. He had a bad experience at a vet previously and is always on edge now. But they were really graceful with him and super helpful with the concern for the visit too. Would recommend

I love this vet they saved my dogs life once upon a Time and the reasonable with blood work and such very caring and compassionate people. Not a big fan of them advocating for the flea and tick preventative stuff it is straight up poison and there's so many adverse effects to it.

The people who work here are such quality people. They have copious amounts of empathy and passion for animals, it has baffled me. I was in a situation trying to find safe homes for kittens in need, I was desperate and very obviously not the right person for the job. I came here in a last ditch effort to gather some information so I could at least keep the kittens safe and nourished. When I entered, the staff was engaged and immediately helpful. The whole team came together and helped me help the kittens. They eased my anxiety and educated me in various ways. I’m truly in awe of how wholesome and caring the clinical staff is.As I was passing through the lobby, I also noticed that the animals who had appointments were greeted by name and the animals had a very cheerful response to staff. Overall, green flags all around. If any of the staff from 10/4/23 are reading this, I again, cannot thank you enough for the pure acts of selflessness and kindness you demonstrated. You are all amazing, the world would be a better place with more people like you!!

We had taken our kitty here at Healthy Paws this place was the only place that would willingly take my cat in and have him checked out, I had called 7 different places and they gave him a shot, X-ray, and sedation and the prescription meds for him for less than $400. The vet Dr.Wells is super duper nice, she communicated with me and my husband constantly, and made us feel better about our cat and that he would be okay. They made sure our kitty was treated nice even though he was grumpy and I will definitely recommend them to anyone who has an animal! The place was clean and organized, and our cat is perfectly fine after 3 long days he is much more of himself. If I could rate this 10 stars I really would!

I had to take my dog there since we couldn't get into our longtime practice. They did work us in quickly, and I was most appreciative. I thought the veterinarian we had was EXCELLENT, but I had to ask to be present when she did the exam. Their usual procedures are done away from the owner. New to me and I didn't like it. Neither would my dog. But, the Vet was great about humoring me, and she was great with my dog.I have to be honest. The front office staff get their jobs done, but they appear that the customers coming in are a bit of an annoyance to their days. They didn't do anything overtly offensive at all, I just didn't feel welcome at all.Hard to rate this place. Loved the Veterinarian, not thrilled with the corporation that is taking over these practices? Not much choice, that's for sure. I sure hope they don't blackball me for being honest.

They got my pup in with no appointment and were so helpful and attentive. The Doctor spent time to listen and answer my questions. I would highly recommend them to any pet owner. The staff is great. My pup is doing ok and is fully recovered.

Dr Easton and her staff came to my rescue at a trying time. This is a place that actually loves what they do and their actions proves it. They responded with just as much love and support that you expect for your family. I’m forever grateful.Thank you Healthy Paws?❤️?

I've been bringing my pets here for over 6 years, it's the only vet my dog likes. They're very nice, thorough, and reliable. I'll be bringing my fur babies here forever!

I wish I could give 0 stars. I took my dog there as her regular vet and they were great. UNTIL she needed an emergency surgery. They did stay late to perform surgery but it did seemed rushed. My dog came home and 2 days later her stitches started to open up. We let them know and they asked for pictures daily. So we went them. Sunday she was opened pretty good. It was an open wound again and they said they would see her on Tuesday, she couldn’t wait until Tuesday. I told them that and then they suddenly could see her on Monday. My dog was bleeding consistently so I had to take her to an emergency vet where they had to do the surgery all over for a second time 5 days after the first. They have no remorse my dog had to do through an entire procedure for a second time. Management had no remorse and took the vets word. very disappointed

I've been taking my animals to the Belleville location for at least 20 years. I'm not sure what happened during the covid shutdown, but the place isn't the same. It's really gone down, and unless you personally get to see or speak to Dr Steve, forget trying to get anything taken care of from the front desk. The prices have gone way up, and the service is way down. I had to go to the westland location recently and I honestly seem to prefer this location vs my normal one in Belleville. I wouldn't recommend the Belleville location unless it's specifically to see Dr Steve. It's honestly sad making this review because they have taken care of so many of my pets over the years. Hopefully they change something soon to regain my trust. I would recommend the westland location!

Everyone was very helpful and caring. Made us feel better about how we were doing with our first kitty. My husband has always had dogs, this is his first cat and he loves her.
