From the moment I walked into Carpet One I and met Cathy I knew it was going to be a great experience! Cathy took her time with me and made sure my needs were met. She gave me several samples of carpet to take home to make sure I’d choose one I loved. The men that installed the carpet were very efficient and polite. They did an outstanding job and made sure everything was clean before leaving. I would highly recommend working with Cathy and having your new carpet installed by Carpet One!

I had a great experience with Independent Carpet One! From my first visit to the showroom, Jeane was helping me every step of the way, from helping me select my floors, to communicating with me through the ordering, install and after. The installers (Tony and Abby) were incredible and very professional. They did a beautiful job on the install! Overall I couldn’t be happier with the entire process and the results!

I love the carpeting I bought from Independent Carpet One Floor and Home. Cathy Buchanan helped me choose this carpeting, was extremely helpful and informative, professional but very personable. Probably had the best help from her and others in her company than any place I've EVER been. They were totally focused on me, listened carefully, and gave me the information I needed to make a decision. Installation was also quicker than any other company offered. There were other contenders for my business but I'm sure I picked the right company, the right carpet, and the right people - I think you'll agree!!

Bought my first carpet from the Francavilla family in 84-85. Been going there ever since. This last project involved much work and craftsmanship. From Tamika who made me take a sample home that I didn’t think I wanted (that’s the one I bought!), to the ordering, the measuring, and Joe coming out to survey situation and assure me, to the installers who were skilled, friendly and efficient, I couldn’t be happier. All went perfect! Almost 40 years of satisfaction. Now that’s something these days!

I was referred to this company by the company redoing my kitchen. At first, I was thrilled. Jeane (my salesperson) was amazing. She came to my house with samples and was very helpful. After picking a flooring, I had two different workers come out to get specific measurements and then to check the job ahead of install. I confirmed by choice of flooring and offered to put down a deposit to order the supplies at the end of February. Jeane said she’d wait since they were going to coordinate with my kitchen remodel that was scheduled tentatively for mid-April. When my kitchen install date was confirmed in late March, I reached back out and was informed the flooring is chosen was not in stock and would be viable in late June. I was frustrated but Jeane took responsibility and offered to send me similar samples that were in stock. I picked a replacement and we ordered it immediately l.
When it came time for the installation, it was clear my workers were very friendly and had some experience. However, they asked me why I had picked this company since it was a little more than an hour’s drive for them. I took them it was a referral through my kitchen guys. They tried to wrap up quickly each day and didn’t do a thorough job of cleaning up, leaving scraps of flooring around and even a pile of razor blades and pin nails on a window sill. I have 3 kids under 7, so that was concerning. It seemed that getting on the road by 3:30 to avoid traffic was a big priority for them. On the second day when they went to pull out my fridge they thought it was stuck so they pulled harder and ripped it free from the water line. Water was everywhere while I directed them to our water shut off valve downstairs. They got freaked out and left to smoke and call their boss while I was left to clean up the water that was in my kitchen and had leaked into the basement below. Then they came back and told me they’d be charging more than the $100 fridge moving fee in the future for people. Then they continued to lay the floor on the still somewhat wet flooring. I questioned this choice thinking it should be thoroughly dried since water had obviously gotten under the newly laid floor in the area. They said it would be fine but then when I pushed the issue they said whatever would make me happy and left for the day after plugging in a fan to blow on the area. I also had to walk around behind them to make sure they cleaned up well after the razor blades I found on day 1. They were rushing again to beat traffic? They also told me to get my kitchen guys to come fix the fridge. I asked if they’d turned my water back on and they confirmed they had. But late, I realized they’d turned off my hot water and not turned it back on. I was able to get it back on before showers that night. I reached out to my salesperson to discuss my concerns and she was shocked and said the installation manager would be calling me later, but he didn’t. They finished the work on day 3 and I will say they did a great job of leveling and laying the flooring. Which is why I’d give them 2 stars. I reached out again Monday and finally was able to talk to Joe (the manager) who defended his workers and only mildly admitted negligence. I mean, they did t even turn off the master to move my
Fridge and left me to clean up and throw away damaged materials. I just requested that my kitchen workers be paid back for the replacement water line they bought and compensated for coming to fix it on a Saturday. They didn’t offer to compensate me for the damaged items in my basement (just books that were so waterlogged they were ruined). I didn’t fight for anything but the workers who had come to fix the flooring guys’ mistake.
I think the fridge issue was out of the norm and the end job was good. Everyone was friendly. Not sure I’d recommend this company though.
Update: just discovered my water has been hard because these guys also turned off the water going through the softener that day. So we’ve been using straight hard water for 3 weeks.
