Based on the reviews, National Computer Recovery is a great place to recycle outdated computer components and newer electronics. The owner, Al, runs a tidy operation and is incredibly nice. He provides outstanding service by showing customers how he destroys hard drives to permanently remove data. He drills multiple holes (five holes, not just one or two) and adds liquid to ensure the drive is destroyed. This provides great peace of mind knowing data is safe. The business takes old computers, monitors, wires, keyboards, cords, and flat screen TVs. It is a no-cost computer and electronics recycling service. The place is a bit hard to find, as navigation might lead through a cemetery. Customers should drive to Joy Rd and look for a rectangular building in the back. The gentleman at the front is a nice guy, and it is good to know that all the equipment does not end up in a landfill.

I had some old computers and laptops I wanted to get rid of. Every other place wanted at least five dollars to do it. This place took them for free and was super close to my house. Highly recommend.

They destroyed 7 laptops while I watched. They drilled multiple holes through the hard drives. Great experience!

Neat e-waste recycling place.
You'll have to drive past the Michigan Pool Products sign, there is a visible 'NCR' sign on the building.
