The check-in process was not easy as the app kept spinning. The interior of the cab was a mess. On my way home the cab leaked and soaked both myself and luggage I had in the passenger seat. Lastly, the location is attempting to charge a after hours fee of $20 with no explanation. I returned the car a day early with slightly more gas and even vacuumed out much of the mess that was there to start with. I will not be using this location and likely use Penske next time

Went Saturday to pick up my 26ft truck. Truck was there but building was closed. Says they open at noon and it that wasn't the case. I waited in the rain for a half hour. Called Uhaul. They said they should be open. Again, they were not. Then they said I should have done it online and got a code for the key box. (I had no idea) I checked in online, got a code for the key box, the code didnt work. Call Uhaul again. They gave me a few more codes to try in the rain. None worked. Then they sent me to Westland (Wayne rd/Cherryhill) I scheduled online for the Plymouth location because that's where i would be doing my move. I didnt want to drive 10 extra miles an hour and a half after i started.Long story short, this location sucks!

This place really needs to get some respectable employees. The "Manager" Paige West is horrible, rude, ghetto and absolutely the least prof interaction I have ever had at a rental vehicle company anywhere. Its really a shame a company as reputable as uhaul would employ anyone that lacks the skills to communicate, problem solve, or just be a decent human being. If you have no other options maybe use uhaul As a last resort but if you have any other options I strongly recommend using them. As long as uhaul has Paige West Employed avoid them like the plague. Dealing with her for even the simplest things will ruin your move for sure.

Absolutely HORRIBLE. If it was possible to leave negative stars I would. The guy working the office was very aloof which comes into play later. I had driven the 10' rental truck less than 3 miles when warnings appeared on the center console stating the engine was overheating. I pulled into a gas station to call the Pakmetro U-Haul office, no one answered so I left a message. Since I was at a gas station I put gas in the tank, still no return call. I drove the truck to my house to load my son's stuff (college move in day), called the Pakmetro office again, no answer, left another message. Drove the truck across the street to his roommate's house and while loading his stuff I called the U-Haul 800 number and requested Roadside Assistance. Spoke to Manuel from Roadside Assistance several times and was told a service vehicle would be dispatched within 120 minutes... Ok, I booked the truck for 5 hours and have to wait 2 hours for the truck to be serviced so it's safe to drive? I don't think so. This led to Manuel placing a call to the MOB (not sure what the acronym stands for but basically it's the manager on call). Received a call from Dylan, the MOB, who was calling from Phoenix, AR. The only thing Dylan could do is advise me to wait for the service technician to arrive to service the truck, even if it meant waiting 2 hours and missing the time window we had to move my son and his roommate on campus. Complete BS. At that point we unloaded the truck, loaded 4 vehicles, left the truck on the street with the key (which Dylan advised against doing, apparently Dylan hasn't moved a child onto a college campus yet and doesn't understand how it works). We were able to get everything moved without any help from U-Haul. When I returned to Pakmetro U-Haul the same aloof guy was in the parking lot taking a dolley out of a rental truck. Another angry customer was in the parking lot and he said he called the Pakmetro U-Haul office 20+ times and the guy never answered. When I spoke to aloof U-Haul guy he was not concerned at all about the entire fiasco but I guess that would be expecting too much from him.There are other U-Haul locations with better customer service, AVOID PAKMETRO U-HAUL AT ALL COST. DO NOT GIVE THIS U-HAUL LOCATION ANY BUSINESS!!!

I scheduled my pickup for after store hours. I watched a couple of videos on how to prepare to pick my uhaul up. Everything was going smoothly but when it came to me getting the keys from the lockbox… well, there were no keys. They had one job to put the key in the lockbox and they failed on doing that. I called many numbers for 3 hours to see what we could do and no one offer me a solution. My moving was from Michigan to Chicago. I missed my dad’s birthday. I had movers scheduled to move stuff around for me and I lost my deposit money. I had no one to help me and they said they couldn’t offer me movers only a $50 dollar reimbursement for the inconvenience. The inconvenience cost me hundreds of dollars plus lost time. Really unprofessional. I’m disappointed with how things turned out.

This was the worst experience of my entire life. The "manager" Paige West was horrible. She was so racist and rude. I do not recommend trusting your move with this location. They will definitely retaliate and administer trumped up charges if they don't like something about the transaction. DO NOT RENT HERE EVER!. Paige should be fired!

Poor service and overchargedPoor customer service - the guy tried to start a conversation by insensitively assuming our race. He had no awareness whatsoever for how inappropriately he was coming off. Additionally he was on a personal phone call while serving us. Very rude and poor service.Overcharged us - he charged additional miles even after I clarified the error on the mileage entry. He didn't pick up my call nor returned my voicemail. I then sent an email to UHaul and received no response.I've used Uhaul several times before and understand it's busy company especially nowadays, but this experience was unsatisfactory. I highly do NOT recommend this location and would consider other rental companies before using UHaul again.

0 STARS IF I COULD. HORRIBLE customer service. Sam needs to be FIRED. I was overcharged and not told why. When I called and was told why, Sam hung the phone up on me when I asked for his last name. Either get someone else to run this place or shut it down.
