Been going to this credit union for over 20 years I've never had a problem until these last few months the new staff in sucks I had one lady tell me I had to go all the way to the Apple Store because she has an apple phone and her phone got hacked just like mine And you can't just factory reset it because your information might be on a hard drive that the hacker has so I drive all the way out to 12 Oaks Mall because that's the only Apple store around here from me to reset my phone apple tells me she doesn't know what she's talking about. She doesn't work there and that's not how things are done, all you have to do is factory reset your phone. Then I go see another teller in the Westland branch and I'm asking information about a loan for a home improvements. She tells me oh there's nobody here right now you can't do that I have to many people I can't help you with that I said OK no problem she tells me the interest rate at the lowest for home improvement is 10% at the lowest with the highest credit score, I said 10% with the highest credit score for a home improvement loan? so finally after speaking to her for sometime, she handed me a piece of paper with the breakdown. I looked at the paper and I said I want a home improvement loan interest rate on a home improvement loan is as low as 4.7%. So then she goes on to tell me I need to bring all of the things that they are asking for on the sheet of paper which is quite a list like my W-2s and so on and so on so I have been calling all these places running around trying to gather all this information together to bring it back to them to see if I can get approved, in the meantime, I had a problem so I called member services. They informed me that there's no reason to go around getting all that stuff because we go off your credit score and you can do it right online or we can do it for you right now on the phone. I'm not sure what is going on with that branch but it's terrible not to mention when you go in there anymore you're standing there in line forever and the lines to the door.

Terrible bank and terrible service plain and simple. Never prepared for a days work. The line is out the door.

They have gave me several terrible experiences and refuse to help. I am experiencing fraud and I want to close my account but I can’t without a zero balance. Every time I have expressed that I am sure someone else has access to my bank account and I need help, they shift the blame to me. I am going into debt and straight up starving because they will not do their job. DO NOT HOIN THIS BANK.

I’m in the drive thru now for 40 minutes almost my entire lunch hour will be wasted sitting here! There is no urgency and the tellers are not friendly. They don’t even say hello. I work for a credit union and if the wait was this long and we were not greeting mbrs we would get in trouble as it’s unacceptable. The killer part the damn branch is not even open so it’s not like inside was busy! Spent my entire lunch hour in the drive thru thank you zeal I guess my time isn’t valuable to your ppl. HORRIBLE

Honestly I used to love this bank, but I am seriously considering moving to another one. The inside has been closed for about 6 months for remodeling the drive through is super slow and the ATM is down a lot ? Been a member for over 5 years and I hate seeing it go downhill so much

I'm really not one to complain but this is by far the slowest financial establishment I've ever had the displeasure of banking through. It's my last resort. It would literally have been faster to drive north like 10 minutes and back south 10 more just to get service elsewhere. I was only behind two cars and the entire experience took half an hour.

Seriously going to close our Zeal account after having one here for 7 years . To many times sitting in drive thru for over 30 minutes.... Today was 40 min wait and when we pulled up in line we were the very next car ( behind one car)Ended up waiting over half hr just to deposit 50 dollars in an account. Yup our business is going to be over with Zeal after today!!! Place really deserves 0 stars!!!

The banking in general is fine, the customer service is terrible, the drive thru service is the slowest banking system I’ve ever had to deal with. Don’t bother calling them cause they don’t answer or even offer a call back.

This place is terrible. There was fraudulent activity on my account and then they blamed me for it and locked my account for 6+ months as far as online banking. Even after waiting for six months of having no online access to my bank account nothing changed with my account and after multiple attempts of reaching out they finally decided to tell me that I needed to write a letter to them and that they handled The situations on a case to case basis. they expect you as a customer to know their policies that they don't inform you of. Terrible customer service over the phone and awful problem resolving do not ever bank with this company I am closing my account this week.

I have always loved Zeal Credit Union, I've been loyal to them for years now because they have always been so good to me. Just recently a little frustrated because its so difficult trying to get ahold of the loan department, i usually get the answering machine.

We have used Zeal (Coop) for years, and have had nothing but pleasant experiences with them. Professional, friendly staff has always been very helpful and knowledgeable through all of our dealings.

There is no point in building any type of relationship with this credit Union or to macking shor anything with them is on time 1st month was great Other then had nothing but a bunch of problems
