December 2023 by Brenda Villeneuve
Around 3:45pm today, 12/19/2023, I drove into the line up of a couple of vehicles making their donation. I waited as the attendant slowly unloaded the cars ahead of me. My turn approached and to save the attendant a few steps, as he was going into the building I yelled out my window that I would like a receipt. He didn't grasp what I said so I repeated it. He then went inside. I opened up the hatch on the back of my vehicle. A moment later he came out the door and told me that they have too much stuff and can't take mine now. I asked, "You can't even just take the bags out of the back of my vehicle?" He said "We have a lot to go through." So, I said, "I'll have to donate somewhere else, then." He went inside. I shouted to the lady waiting behind me that they are too full so that she didn't waste any more of her time. She didn't hear me so, I repeated myself. Then, as I was closing my hatch, the attendant came out and told me, "If you are going to act like that you can leave." I told him that I was closing my hatch and telling the lady that they are too full so that she doesn't waste her time either. I then proceeded to park and go inside to let the manager know. It is appalling for a so-called Christian organization to treat people like that. Apparently they don't need my donations! I will find a better, more worthy cause to donate to. I advise you to do the same.

Good place, a lot of cute things. However I get this is a hand me down store, but the dressing rooms need, and should be clean, sweep and mop daily. My niece brought some pink jeans, and they literally looked brand new! But the bottoms got instantly dirty because the dressing room floor was absolutely filthy! Please CLEAN the dressing rooms! It should be a job requirement! ?

I worked here for a little over a year. The pay is awful. Raises do not exist. And when you do get them. It's only a few cents. And I'm not exaggerating that. There's people that have been there since the store officially opened years ago that are only making .10 cents more then what they started in at. The employees are hard workers and deserve way better then what they've been getting. I left personally to move on to something else. I couldn't work for a company that treated their employees like their job NEEDED to come before their children family health etc. I was wrote up twice for missing work due to medical related reasons where I was in the hospital. I was threatened once because I needed a day off to do a follow up check up for after a miscarriage I Had. The pricing on everything is ridiculous high. The managers crunch numbers to make it look like their pushing more products then they actually are. Don't work at this place. It isn't worth it.

There has been a couple times this past year where they have opened late. Whatever; life happens. But today they refused to take my donation because they "close at 5:00." I was in line behind a car from which they DID take a donation. They were literally closing their hatchback (no exaggeration, I swear) and she is telling me they are closed and can't take the bag I brought. I pointed out that they JUST took a donation - the car in front of me had just started to drive off. She says, rather snippily, "No. I saw you pull in. It was 5:00 exactly!" Um, okay. Even by her account, I didn't show up AFTER 5:00. I guess it would be more accurate for them to post that they stop taking donations at 4:59, but no matter. I won't be back. I do *love* the irony that they can open late, but I can't drive up at 4:59.59. I'll take my donations and my shopping to St. Vincent dePaul or Grace Centers of Hope. They are at least polite.

Big store with a lot of different shopping options. Mens, women's and children's clothes plus so many more random different things you can find. Different days are deals on certain tag colors. Lots of parking and never seems to busy when I have been there which is a plus.

I was wondering if the guy who is taking the donations out of your truck could move any slower?! My God in heaven, get that man a Redbull or something. You got a line with 15 cars in it. And he is taking his sweet time.. This is not an isolated incident at this salvation army. Just awful.

I had to rate this place to get it to 667 reviews. Also it's a huge and decently priced store. Women's shorts are way over priced though. $15 for used Nike shorts?

Prices are better. Not sure if they did that recently. Also looks like they rearranged it a bit and I like it a lot better. It's much more organized. Found a lot of great things and they had half off their clothes the day I was

I love this Salvation Army, the staff is usually kind and they try to spark up some small talk, but today i had a poor experience with a cashier named Brooke, she acted very unchristian and the lord would not approve..

I recently visited the Salvation Army store and was pleasantly surprised with my experience. The prices were incredibly affordable, making it a great option for those on a tight budget. Despite the low prices, the quality of the items I purchased was excellent. I was impressed with the selection of items available, from clothing to household goods. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. I appreciate the efforts of the Salvation Army to provide affordable options to those in need, and would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for great deals on quality items.

I worked for the Salvation Army for 5 years. All I can say is this.Just because Salvation Army claims to be Christian doesn't make it so.I'm glad I no longer work there.
