I'm very satisfied with the care my Great Danes received. If I have future veterinary emergencies, I trust these dedicated professionals to give my furkids quality care.First, they diagnosed Hazel, the 18-month-old that I had just rescued, with a UTI and double pneumonia. Drs. Aldrich and Erickson (and the entire team) took excellent care of my girl during her 2 days there. A vet called me at least once every 12 hours with updates, and they made sure I knew that I was welcome to visit. The following week, I returned with Max, my 11 y.o. who was unable to stand. The staff brought a gurney out to retrieve Max from my vehicle and transport him inside. He loved the ride! X-rays showed Max was more arthritic than I realized, but also revealed cancer in his spleen and both lungs. Dr. Erickson helped Max leave this world with dignity.

Hi my name is Caleb Scollon. My cat Dreggo was recently seen here. We were told to come back at 7:30am-8amin the morning the next day. When we arrived Lindsey greeted us she told us that if we had called and let her know we were coming she would have been able to tell us that the doctor wasn’t available until 10am. I completely understand the doctor is busy, but why was Lindsey trying to tell me this is because I didn’t call ahead of time? She could have simply said sorry for the inconvenience. No instead she blamed us for not calling ahead of time during a very stressful situation never apologized once for not the miscommunication and told us to have a good day in a very rude manner. I will becoming back to make sure my animal is okay but I will be requesting to have someone else check us in.

Terrible. They told me they couldn’t see any of the things I was describing that my cat was doing. I asked the vet to bring my cat in the room so I could show her, she said unless my cat was leash trained he wasn’t going to move. I asked her if I had a video to show her if that would help she said it wouldn’t matter anyways…but wanted me to spend $800 to runs tests. Went to a different vet first thing this morning and they immediately noticed what my cat was doing, didn’t have to run any tests other than a swab from 1 ear, gave a couple injections and some meds and sent us on our way. Why would I spend $800 on testing or “outpatient treatment” when supposedly no one could see anything wrong with my cat?? And since I’ve noticed this place likes to respond back to negative reviews defending themselves, save it I don’t care. Spare yourself the time and money and go somewhere else. MSU’s long wait times are probably worth it.

The staff is compassionate and caring. We recently had a family pet who was in need of urgent care. We called our local vet and they told us to seek out emergency care. We found Greater Lansing Vet and rushed straight there. Upon checking in, our beloved family pet passed away. The staff pulled us into a quite room and handled the situation very sincerely. The staff went above and beyond. Thank you for all you have done .

Our dog Nimbus went into labor in the early hours one day, earlier than expected. They always do, late in the night or early in the morning. Once in a blue moon you get them to go into labor about 3 in the afternoon and all the pups come out with ease and are alive and your girl is feeding them about 5. In any event, Our girl Nimbus had three healthy Schipperke girls. One was ailing but with a bit of TLC she was just fine. Thank You for the help with her.

I just want others to know I had a very good experience with Greater Lansing Vet Services back in 2021. My 12 yr old cat's breathing was very labored and I knew her condition was serious. Her regular Vet would not see her (post Covid) so I brought Oprah in. I was able to get her examined right away, and the staff was so kind and comforting when they told me she had congestive heart failure and wouldn't make it. I was able to be with her in the end, and I left with her body to bury and her paw prints. It was so thoughtful that they sent me a follow up sympathy card and personal note. What a caring and professional Vet staff we have in the Lansing area!

I cannot express how caring and kind the staff are here. We unfortunately had to have our fur baby put down during our visit due to nature of her illness. From check in to check out they were right by our side making sure to give us the time and privacy we needed to have before we had to say our goodbyes. They presented us with our options in a very compassionate but professional way. All the assistants were very patient and when it was time for our baby to pass, the doctor even cried. We opted to have her cremated and their presentation was done in such a beautiful way. They dropped her off at our home this morning which was way out of their way. They gentlemen arrived wearing a suit and sat with us for a bit to make sure we had some time to reflect. Overall, the experience was more then we could have expected. They treated our fur baby like she was their own. Thank you, to everyone involved. I know this sounds bad but when we are approached by this situation again, we will be back. We have had many vet experiences in the past and this place was top notch above all the best care we have ever received.

My cat had a traumatic injury and the staff was very understanding and made her comfort an initial priority. The lobby was comfortable and coffee was a bonus. The estimate for the service was given ahead of time so I was not surprised after her treatment. The vet did an excellent job and explained everything very well. I had been to MSU and it felt less personal there. Definitely appreciate the 24hr care as well. Worth the half hour drive for me.

Today, my friend had to release her precious 4-year-old Great Dane into the arms of our Lord. Although I was unable to be present, an Angel named Martha was. Unaware of Martha's title, it should be Clinic Director. Her patience and kindness toward my friend echoed that of Mother Teresa. I live an hour from Greater Lansing Veterinary Center and don't take my baby there. Martha's extraordinary compassionate service would be well worth the drive. I appreciate your kindness, Martha.

We were not told about their billing practice until after they had taken our cat. When we explained that we could not afford to pay they refused to release our pet for hours. When they thought we had left they called us and said they were realeasing her and would be giving our pet to animal control as abandoned. Cat did not recieve any treatment. They also hung up on us 3 times while we were asking for our pet to be released.

We had a veterinary emergency with our male cat that resulted with us having to humanely euthanize our boy. It was late at night so they implement a curb side process during those hours. The process went smooth. I didn’t have a carrier big enough to accommodate his injury, so I had transported him in a large dog crate. They were happy to come to the car and provide a large cat carrier. The curb side process did not leave me feeling uncomfortable. The vet was educational and understanding. They allowed me to come inside and spend time with our beloved pet, and allowed me to stay by his side though the process. They provided a transportation box so we could bring him home rather than have him cremated. They also provided a foot print shadow box which has brought our kids so much comfort. We received a sympathy card in the mail a week later, it was very thoughtful considering we’ve never been to this office before.I wish I could remember the assistants and doctors names. They were amazing and graceful.Photo attached in memory of our guy, Loki.

We have had to make a few different trips here over the years as our sweet girl got older. Every visit went great, and everyone always seemed to genuinely care. Unfortunately I didn't get anyone's names, but on the evening October 7th, it was the visit we were dreading. Our poor Pepper was in an awful state. We knew the outcome wouldn't be good, but everyone went above and beyond and gave us all the time we needed. Even though we were strangers to them, they made us feel like family. I've always had the fear of a cold room and exam table being the end. That wasn't the case. We had a our own private room to make us all feel as close to home as possible. Thank you all for making such a tragic day and loss, more comfortable.

I hope you all know that your kindness and compassion do not go unnoticed. We had to bring our kitty in while he was very sick and he did not make it. Thank you so much for making this transition easier for us (and for Gus, I know he appreciates it also.)

Beyond thankful for this wonderful place. Yesterday on 9/30 around 7pm, my husband and I had to put our cat Eve to sleep after something awful happened to her. I am so glad that we decided to make the 1.5 hour drive down from Midland and took her there. I wish I could remember names of the staff and Dr that we had that were so caring and attentive. I was hoping to be able to see the Dr again after she put Eve to sleep to thank her for how much she helped us get through one of the most difficult times. We talked about her the whole way home and are just amazed at how she was there for us giving us comfort and reassurance the entire time. It was hard to speak much but we are so appreciative of her. The girls at the front desk, the one who roomed us, and the ones who gave us Eve to take home for rest- they were all wonderful. Thank you so much for making such a difficult situation a little bit easier, we are so thankful for all of you.

Dr. Derek Erikson delivered devastating news very compassionately. We had a very peaceful experience euthanizing one of our beloved cats, with the female doctor(I didn’t catch her name). We were sent home with complimentary paw prints. Very quick service. Thank you to all the doctors and the team of workers. I would come back and, recommend to other people.
