This bank may not be perfect. I read various complaints. Some I can rationalize with policy. Others with customer support issues. But overall I've been with many others that have same issues. Other banks walk over a dollar to pick up a nickel. At least this bank isn't owned by Charles Swab or owned by the CCP. I already was at those banks and to know my money isn't benefiting some foreign communist or help funding some anti American propaganda helps me sleep better at night. Yes I'm talking about Chase bank supposedly. I love you America.

I've been with this bank 15yrs .I didn't appreciate the customer service I received from jennifer. She was acting like the charges on my account was my fault and said it was my responsibility to make sure I don't get charged again and the only way to do so was to get a new debit card which she said will probably take (over a week) and if I wanted to get cash I would have to come in( the old fashied way) .I see this issue hasn't resolved from a review 2yrs ago a customer waiting for their debit cards.You never blame the customer for unauthorized charges it's bad customer service.I honestly was contemplating going with another credit union.

In person service is very good! But customer service line staff seem to be lacking updated knowledge pertaining to latest payment apps. Does anybody know if this bank can be hooked up to Google Pay?

Been with this Credit Union since 2004. Majority of the tellers are nice and personable..others not so much. I always have an issue with my cards not working or not being recognized in machines. Replaced several times and each member in the family has an issue. Receive fraud alerts answered the questions on the phone told it was released and could continue to use. even answered the follow up texts only to find it still is being denied several hours and days later at times. Left me stuck in South Korea ! Yes South korea! on a bus. Stuck at a gas station with my son, stuck in NY, Mexico, and South America. Always an issue every time. no matter if i notify ahead or purchase from the same place on a weekly basis. Came from Warren Consolidated Credit Union and never had this issue in the 21 years I was a member. This Army Veteran is tired of having to wait for the CU to open or they close early to get the money I trusted with them and deposit through VA and Direct Deposit! Time to find another CU

I've done my banking with Downriver for 5 years now and think they are the best Downriver. I really like their electronic services which makes it seem I'm always right in their branch even when I'm not. They have no fees unless you choose to pay them and it's super easy to get a loan from them. I was kinda bummed to learn that Mike retired but the new guy has treated me pretty awesome so it all worked out.

My Debit card was compromised. When I called about a false charge they had cancelled my card immediately. They told me that it could take five business days to get a replacement card. It took longer than that. And it caused a major inconvenience because it happened at the worse time of the year. After lodging as complaint I was contacted by DCFCU's CEO. He acknowledged the fact that replacing debit cards does take too long and DCFCU will have a solution in place very soon. In the course of our conversation the CEO gave me useful information about improving my credit. It was a bad situation. but it was resolved quickly. I am impressed

I have used banks in the past, but when I moved back to Michigan I decided to go with a Credit Union. Downriver Community Federal Credit Union was recommended by several people so I went with them. I think this was a very wise decision. I have been with DCFCU for over two years now and I am pleased and impressed with the services they provide for members. Whenever I've had a question I have called or stopped in and all my questions were answered. When I did have an issue, it was resolved immediately and steps were taken to ensure it would not happen again. If you're looking for a financial institution with people that care about their members I would recommend DCFCU.

This credit union has nothing to offer that can beat any other bank. First, no android pay, iPhone pay, Google pay etc... second, better hope your debit card doesn't break. There's a 2 week return on that. B4 you ask, no, no atm cards, no quicker shipping, 2 weeks. And if you ask "what am I gonna do for 2 weeks to pay my bills" they'll respond with "the old fashion way" they also don't provide any favors with loans, as they want 20% regardless, no FHA. Their online app is something youd of seen back in 2005 when online banking first started gripping. Any app check cashing is longer to process. And finally, the interior is extremely outdated. I'd prefer credit union one if you needed an opinion.
