Five Below is a value retailer offering a wide variety of trendy, fun products across categories like Style, Tech, Candy, and Sports, with most items priced between $1 and $5. The store is described as a nice place with cool stuff and is generally very clean. Many customers note that the associates are extremely friendly, helpful, kind, and provide excellent service, with interactions marked by warmth and kindness that can brighten a person's day. However, a common point of feedback involves the self-checkout process. Several reviews mention it is a little weird or super weird that employees insist on ringing up customers at the self-checkout stations instead of a regular register, which made some customers feel uncomfortable. Some felt this defeated the purpose of a self-checkout. Additionally, while the store interior is clean, there is a note that the shared parking lot needs to be cleaned. Occasional issues with items being out of stock were also mentioned.
Took my daughter here for her birthday. They have a lot of nice stuff.

The employee rang me up on a self checkout. That made me feel uncomfortable as if she thought I would steal. Why have self checkouts if your employees are using it to ring customers up?

Out of stock on a few items I was searching for. The store was clean, and associates were friendly. I know the lot is shared, but it needs to be cleaned.
