I shop at the Woodhaven store often, but on my last visit I was asked cash or debit. I said credit and she said for that I would have to use self checkout and she could help if I needed help. There was no kind of sign anywhere indicating credit card users had to use self checkout. If the cash register she was using could take a debit card, it could also take a credit card. So she can't ring up my purchase, but she can stand with me at self checkout to assist in case I can't figure it out on my own. The whole thing was absurd. I don't know when or why this asinine policy was put into place, but I left my pile of stuff and went down the street to Hobby Lobby where I got a better price and excellent customer service. The good thing is I found out that I prefer Hobby Lobby and will not need to return to Michaels.

Michael's has a great variety of great supplies. The only reason I don't give a 5 star is they are slightly more expensive than Joanne's and less deals. But I do like their reward program.
