Sadly Midwest Camera has closed it's doors after nearly 70 years according to the Detroit Free Press.

Took my canon t6 here. Good customer service. They couldn't repair because main board was fried. Didn't charge me for anything.

This place used to be the best spot to go to for film camera repair, but not anymore! Despite their website touting experience since the 50’s they have fallen off hard! An employee said they have lack of technicians who have limited knowledge and or not familiar with popular film cameras being bought today. You would think with a massive resurgence in film and film cameras they would be back at the top of their game, but nope! It’s just “no no no no…and we are at least 13 weeks out” …sounds depressing there.

I am so pleased with our repair. It cost me $190. The staff was very helpful in getting it set up. Just sent it in. Got completed faster than expected. Also came back within a week. Thank you Midwest Camera Repair, because now our impossible repair got our church media back on track. I tried fixing it with multiple companies. They told me it might take 1-3 months. Those companies are Nikon, Sigma, Perfect Image Repair, Dodd Repair, and Perfect Image, so thank you for your services to what others said were impossible. After an unknown hit on a trip, there was a ding on my camera and it would not focus or set the aperture. Now it's running smoothly. Thank you again.

Great place for your camera or lenses! I got my mode dial replaced here and they did a great job on it and on cleaning my Canon Eos 6d body! It looked brand new when I got it back! It does however take a while for them, I do not blame them because I understand the shipping issues and their one of the only few places in Michigan for camera repairs! I didn't like the wait but it defiantly was worth the wait! Thank you Midwest!!

My Minolta XG-1 had a malfunction with the shutter release button. I was nervous to ship my camera in the mail, but Midwest Camera Repair was the only place within several hours of Grand Rapids that could fix my dear camera. I was hoping to have it fixed before my baby is born, which I communicated to them over the phone before shipping it. They received my camera, repaired it, and shipped it back with just days to spare before my due date! It works great and I wish I had sent it to them sooner. Thanks MWCR!

The best, and only, camera repair shop around. This is the place that other stores send your camera to when you bring it in for a repair. So go directly to Midwest and save yourself some time and steps. They have parking in front of the building and they are wheelchair accessible. They prefer that you wear a mask when entering the building ??.Rick Zorn

I sent Midwest my Sigma 120-300. They had it for two months, sent it back and it had focus issues. I returned it a second time and they had it another month, saying nothing was wrong with the lens. After I received it back I sent it to Sigma, because I’ve been using this lens every weekend for years, I know how it is supposed to perform. Sigma said the AF Data needs adjusting. Sigma sent it back in 8 days and the lens works perfect now! I wasted 3 months and $750 on Midwest! Do yourself a favor and send it to Sigma!

They repaired a Nikon lens that Nikon couldn't do to lack of parts. Midwest had a stockpile and my focus was restored.
