I rarely write reviews but I am so upset with Amerigas. Wish I could give zero stars . I want to warn others of this company. I dealt with sky-high propane prices that aren’t even close to market rates. Apparently they’re known for price gouging, wish I did more research. On top of that, they charge hidden fees for services they don't perform, like leak checks. After finally canceling my contract, I am now hit with over $500 in fees — including early cancellation, tank pickup, a dispatch fee, and more.
They lure you in with a low first-fill price, then raise rates and you’re locked into a 3-year contract. Their customer service sucks, they give you the run around and are based in other countries. Buyer beware: please check out local propane companies before going with AmeriGas. Run from this one!!!

The most expensive propane ever. When you call their center, it's obvious is overseas. They don't know ow anything and can not help you.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Don't ever use AmeriGas. Their entire call center is based in another country. Calls are dropped frequently, so you have to call back 3-4 times just to do your business. They don't take directions well, so they had to come out to my property 3 times before I could get my tanks filled. And they charge you ridiculous fees.

Absolutely the worst experience with a propane company- you just get sent to someone in India- they say there is no one else to talk to to resove issues. I will never deal with a company like this. I WOULD GIVE THE A NO STAR REVIEW

UPDATE- I emailed after the companies response below and still NO WORD from Amerigas. They suck and I will be changing soon.I'm soon to be done with Amerigas. They never answer emails, it's hard to get anyone on the phone and when I do they are not in this country anymore. I rent a tank from them that is at least 33 years old (it was already here when we bought out house in 1991 so it's certainly older than that). The tank is rusting terribly but they want to charge me $100 just to come look at it. What am I paying the yearly rental fee for then? They no longer have any offices that you can go into to speak with a human face to face. They now have a long list of complaints on the BBB site I've read. Seems everyone is becoming fed up with this company. Time to switch to someone local.

Extremely unhappy with AmeriGas. I prepaid the 2023/2024 propane, somehow they can't connect with prepaid to my account and insistant I have outstanding bills! Now they wont delivery the propane unless I settle the account, I told them there is nother to settle (I already paid AmeriGas in full in advance!!!), they can't understand and wont let me talk to any managers. I am below 17% and it's 21F. Each time takes at least more than 30 mins on the phone with representivie and with no solution! When the representive said it will resolve within 3 to 5 business day, but never did. They said they will deliver propane within 24 hours, never did!!! And this is an issue with the billing, since I prepaid, they charged me way over prpaid price!!! Can't reach anyone who can understand the issue!!!

Willie, the technician who provided the service, was excellent! He was quick, efficient, friendly and very helpful. He did a great job and was very professional through out.
