“They helped us get financed to buy our home even with questionable credit. Besides a couple of small let downs like it was supposed to come with a washer and dryer and it did not. Fridge died after 3 months but they helped us get a used replacement. So far everything else has been really good. Not a bad place to live. Clean, well take n care of.”

“I have lived at Towne Centre Place for the past 11 years. The office staff including maintenance has always been very helpful and pleasant to work with. Our current manager Grena Hill always has a smile and a Hello how are you today for everyone. I enjoy living here.”

“I’ve rented from Maurer twice now, and both times I’ve been very happy. They’re extremely responsive to any maintenance requests and won’t leave you hanging if you’re having any issues with a unit. Never had any issues with rent, hidden fees, or anything of the sort. Not to mention that their units are all gorgeous and cozy! They’re the first company I recommend to friends looking for an apartment, so I highly recommend to anyone who sees this as well.”

“I recently had the pleasure of experiencing outstanding service from Willie Wilson, the maintenance expert at our apartment complex. When my dishwasher began to malfunction, Willie was quick to respond to my request for assistance. Not only did he skillfully repair the appliance, but he also took the extra time to explain the root cause of the issue, ensuring that I was well-informed and equipped to prevent future problems.Willie’s approach to service is a blend of professionalism, expertise, and genuine care. His attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond in educating residents on maintenance matters truly sets him apart. This interaction was not just about a simple repair; it was a learning experience that left me feeling more knowledgeable and confident in managing household appliances.I am thoroughly impressed by Willie’s dedication and highly recommend his services to other residents. His helpful demeanor and technical proficiency greatly contribute to the positive living experience in our apartment complex. Thank you, Willie, for your exceptional service!”

“I lived at the Hamptons of Cloverlane from July 2021 to July 2022. I am quite late to making this review, so I apologize for that!I moved to the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti area for graduate school and was thankful to have called the Hamptons home for those 12 months. My apartment, a 2-bed 2-bath Southampton style unit, was very clean and in good order when my roommate and I moved in. I cannot speak for my roommate, but I tried my best to keep it very clean as well. I had two ESA cats who were welcomed by Hamptons management after appropriate documentation review (I work in disability services -- they asked the right questions). Additionally, they don't steal your security deposit, like other apartment companies seem to. I got all but $50 back for mine, but I made sure to take good care of my apartment, make prompt maintenance requests, and ask them questions about what is considered "normal wear and tear" when I was worries about damage.Like other reviewers, unfortunately, I did have issues getting maintenance requests filled in a timely manner. However, I also want to emphasize that they were extremely short staffed for the number of units in the complex, and finding qualified staff to work specifically on appliances can be challenging. Our garbage disposal broke once, and they fixed it relatively quickly (within two weeks). Additionally, our dishwasher stopped draining properly. They sent a regular maintenance guy out twice to fix it, but the issue remained, so after about a month, an appliance guy from Hayman Corporation (Ray? I don't remember the name) came out to help us and solved the problem. He also took the time to explain to us the issue and what we as tenants could do to keep this from happening again. I appreciated that.Another slightly negative point is that there are some fees that do not seem entirely necessary or feel like they should be opt-in fees, like valet trash. I 100% understand the administration fees, but valet trash didn't seem entirely necessary for my unit specifically since we could see a dumpster right outside our window. As an accessibility professional though, I do see valet trash being helpful for the elderly and people with disabilities, so I am not knocking it that hard.Hamptons management were wonderful to work with, especially when I had personal conflicts with my roommate. They gave sound advice within their legal limitations and checked in on me when I came to the clubhouse during and after a period of immense mental turmoil. Michelle took great care when hearing my situation and seemed to care deeply about my wellbeing. Makenzie, Dustin, James, and Michelle all got to know me on a first-name basis very quickly (I used the coffee machine in the clubhouse frequently, haha). I genuinely am so thankful for their help during my whole stay with the Hamptons. I will say, it helps to go to the Clubhouse in person and get to know the humans who work so hard to help us out.The reasons I decided to move out of the apartment were primarily that, unfortunately, rent got too high for me to manage on my own after my roommate left, and I needed to move to Ann Arbor proper to reduce commuting fatigue as I managed multiple disabilities and graduate school. I still live and work in the area and will definitely consider living at the Hamptons again in the future! I especially loved summers at the Hamptons when the pool was open and when they held Clubhouse events (they held them in the winter too, but I'm less active in the winter).I've been meaning to stop by and say hi -- just haven't the time. Also if you play Pokemon Go, the Hamptons and the Pines of Cloverlane have lots of PokeStops -- haha!”

“I have lived at Arbor one townhouses for nearly 6 years, since the new management company took over (LR management) things have gotten so much better!!! The staff is so nice and attentive to your needs. I have had wonderful experiences with the office staff Wendy and Amy, As well as the maintenance. My unit had a leak during a rain storm, The maintenance showed up right away and fixed the issues and then came back after to repair the things that were damaged due to the water. This complex has a bad rep due to the past management companies (yes i lived here during the last few management companies, and yes they were AWFUL) but LR management has really changed things, and continues to do so daily. The complex is cleaned up daily, they are doing repairs and improvements around here daily, The “rough crowd” people are no longer living here. I feel like this complex is so much better and I can finally say after nearly 6 years that I am happy to live here and most importantly I feel SAFE living here. LR is doing great things here, So please ignore the previous reviews before LR took over and give them a chance; you won’t be disappointed!!! I love it here, and i’m happy to be signing another year lease next month.”
