“Found out about this place last week and figured we'd come check it out. It's as close to perfect as you can come. 1) The space--my kid did not want to leave, he was having so much fun with the toys, and there really is something for everyone. 2) The mission--disability work is close to my heart, and seeing inclusion and support (for disabled people, but also POC, LGBTQIA++, etc) is just beautiful. 3) Sustainability--most of the food is locally sourced, and there were a lot of good brands and non-plastic toys. 4) The people--the worker I spoke with was incredibly friendly and welcoming and very passionate about the mission of inclusion and support. 5) Accessibility--the food was reasonably priced, the space is free, and it was very comfortable as a disabled person. 6) The community--they're very open to feedback and really want to support the community, from having local artists' work for sale to offering events to come together to the space itself--I know I can bring my kid to play to give myself a break and I know as an LGBTQIA++and autistic person, I and my family are safe and welcomed. It's not quite perfect (adult changing tables would be an unexpected bonus, and a little library would be wonderful, as well as maybe some art to make their inclusivity more apparent), but it's like 95% there, which is amazing and miles further than most. Every city should have at least one place like this, and I highly encourage everyone to visit and support this amazing space.”
