We lived here for 8 months before we bought a home in the area. There is NOTHING exciting about this company. Lack of response to any maintenance issues. The apartment we were is looked like it was from the 50's...horrible. Snow removal was a joke. They wld "kind of" clear it the day after the storm. There were days we couldn't get to our apartment. They replaced a number of light poles outside and left LIVE WIRES exposed everywhere. I even complained to the county (didn't matter). $1400/month...ahhhh. The quaint "copy & paste" responses they make after these reviews mean NOTHIN! Clearly, ignoring you is their business model. There are 100s & 100s of nasty, noisy geese everywhere. They do NOTHING to abate them. The response..."there is nothing we can do, it's nature!" Right...12/12/23: As I suspected, their AI response tobmy complaint was the usual "copy & paste" empathy (sorry, kind of sarcastic here). One thing I didn't mention; 4 months after we moved in, the complaints were coming from everyone re: the poor conditions of the property. There response was instead of trying to fix things they wrote up a little one page contract saying "if you live in the apartments that have not been remodeled yet, you are not allowed to complain about the conditions of the propery!" Then they tried to intimidate us with illegal threats of legal action and possible eviction if we didnt sign. Again, this is their way of doing business. I did not sign the contract. Told them to have their lawyer call me. Still waiting on that call. Do not move here. You have been warned!

Apartment was clean when we moved in and the amenities are okay. Maintenance is horrible. I placed a ticket 11/4/2022 that still has not been resolved. Someone came to look said they would come back to fix the window but never did. Our A/C went out this summer during the hottest week and it took them 3-4 days before anyone contacted me regarding the issue. It has gotten to the point where now I just try to fix stuff myself before contacting them because it is faster.

If I could give it a lower rating, I would. My stress level has gone up and quality of life has gone down over the past two years living here. It used to be great, but now it costs me more money on top of the significant rent increases due to lack of upkeep, communication and maintenance. I have had maintenance tickets sit for MONTHS and dangerous ones like broken locks, mold, broken refrigerator, and leaks sit for weeks or still not yet taken care of. It doesn’t matter if I email, call, stop in person, submit a ticket—I usually end up doing them all for each issue—they are non responsive. Or worse yet, tell you what you want to hear and do not fix anything or do anything they say they will.0/10 do not recommend.

I love the gym, the place, how the outdoors are maintained, except for our apartment. We have been calling for maintenance for months now and they still didn’t come to fix our toilet, closet rod, towel rack and washing machine. I’m very disappointed.

Terrible! If you want a responsibly priced but nice apartment DO NOT LIVE HERE. I moved in Jan of 2023 and I was not allowed to see my apartment before moving in. RED FLAG!! My apartment was extremely disappointing, dirty, broken down, and outdated when I moved in and I was shown pictures of much nicer and updated unit and I was lied to by KYLE. When I asked to move into a nicer unit that was more updated they told me that I didn't make enough money even though based on the math I do and were very rude about it so now I am stuck in a trash unit that is falling apart!**Old carpet, severe spider infestation, a broken dryer (when we asked about getting it fixed or getting a new one their response was "well, everyone's is like that"), rusted pipes, old appliances (my oven is so old you can't read the dial to know what temp it's on you have to just guess), leaking ceiling and mold as a result, chipped tiles in the tub, windows that don't close properly, I could go on.**I am so angry and disgusted by my experience with this place. If you talk to Kyle when you call, I know she sounds nice but she will swindle you into moving here and send you nice pictures and videos but it's all lies. AGAIN, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!

I lived at the Hamptons of Cloverlane from July 2021 to July 2022. I am quite late to making this review, so I apologize for that!I moved to the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti area for graduate school and was thankful to have called the Hamptons home for those 12 months. My apartment, a 2-bed 2-bath Southampton style unit, was very clean and in good order when my roommate and I moved in. I cannot speak for my roommate, but I tried my best to keep it very clean as well. I had two ESA cats who were welcomed by Hamptons management after appropriate documentation review (I work in disability services -- they asked the right questions). Additionally, they don't steal your security deposit, like other apartment companies seem to. I got all but $50 back for mine, but I made sure to take good care of my apartment, make prompt maintenance requests, and ask them questions about what is considered "normal wear and tear" when I was worries about damage.Like other reviewers, unfortunately, I did have issues getting maintenance requests filled in a timely manner. However, I also want to emphasize that they were extremely short staffed for the number of units in the complex, and finding qualified staff to work specifically on appliances can be challenging. Our garbage disposal broke once, and they fixed it relatively quickly (within two weeks). Additionally, our dishwasher stopped draining properly. They sent a regular maintenance guy out twice to fix it, but the issue remained, so after about a month, an appliance guy from Hayman Corporation (Ray? I don't remember the name) came out to help us and solved the problem. He also took the time to explain to us the issue and what we as tenants could do to keep this from happening again. I appreciated that.Another slightly negative point is that there are some fees that do not seem entirely necessary or feel like they should be opt-in fees, like valet trash. I 100% understand the administration fees, but valet trash didn't seem entirely necessary for my unit specifically since we could see a dumpster right outside our window. As an accessibility professional though, I do see valet trash being helpful for the elderly and people with disabilities, so I am not knocking it that hard.Hamptons management were wonderful to work with, especially when I had personal conflicts with my roommate. They gave sound advice within their legal limitations and checked in on me when I came to the clubhouse during and after a period of immense mental turmoil. Michelle took great care when hearing my situation and seemed to care deeply about my wellbeing. Makenzie, Dustin, James, and Michelle all got to know me on a first-name basis very quickly (I used the coffee machine in the clubhouse frequently, haha). I genuinely am so thankful for their help during my whole stay with the Hamptons. I will say, it helps to go to the Clubhouse in person and get to know the humans who work so hard to help us out.The reasons I decided to move out of the apartment were primarily that, unfortunately, rent got too high for me to manage on my own after my roommate left, and I needed to move to Ann Arbor proper to reduce commuting fatigue as I managed multiple disabilities and graduate school. I still live and work in the area and will definitely consider living at the Hamptons again in the future! I especially loved summers at the Hamptons when the pool was open and when they held Clubhouse events (they held them in the winter too, but I'm less active in the winter).I've been meaning to stop by and say hi -- just haven't the time. Also if you play Pokemon Go, the Hamptons and the Pines of Cloverlane have lots of PokeStops -- haha!

Only nice thing about this place is the area surrounding. Legit have been waiting 2 months to have my dryer fixed, that has already been “fixed” 3 times prior lol. We pay too much to have so many things just falling apart and aren’t getting fixed. SO FRUSTRATING.

I can’t wait to move out of this place. The actual apartment is fine - the management is absolutely god-awful. Want to wait a month for your dryer to be “fixed” only to have it not turn on? And then wait for multiple weeks (I’m still waiting) and calling every day for someone to come fix it? Live here. Otherwise, save your sanity and live somewhere else.Management ignores emails, gives non-answers, refuses to deal with maintenance issues, and clearly is not interested in anything but margins.

If you want any kind of timely maintenance or response from those working in the office, just don't live here. Service requests will stay open for months and if you try to call the office, they're very friendly but they will absolutely not call you back. We've been unable to get any updates or progress on a service request that has been open since early December despite calling nearly a dozen times and emailing the property manager. Every time we call, we talk to someone in the office who "will definitely talk to the maintenance supervisor and get back to us by the end of the day". Not a single person has ever called us back and when we call again, we start right back over. It's a special kind of hell and one I don't want anyone else to have to go through. This place is way too expensive to be dealing with this sub par customer service. Like I said, everyone is super friendly, but friendly doesn't mean much if they can't actually follow through.

Biggest complaint about living here is the lack of efficiency when it comes to fixing appliances. Our dishwasher/garbage disposal has been broken for 2 weeks. Any water that goes down the drain, drains to the bottom of the dishwasher and leaks onto the floor. I’ve had a constant puddle of smelly mildew water in my kitchen. With a 1 year old who is always getting into things and trying to play in the nasty mold water. I’ve requested maintenance on the portal. I’ve called and was told maintenance would be giving me a call. Waited all day and never received a call. That was almost a week ago!!

this is the most frustrating place i have ever rented from. every apartment i’ve ever lived in would simply replace a broken appliance and take the broken one to be repaired and put in another unit that needs it. the hamptons, however, is so incredibly inefficient that if something is broken, you have to put in a work order and follow up multiple times to even get their attention. they’ll eventually send maintenance to take a look, but if they can’t fix it right then and there, the whole process of following up multiple times will start again. i didn’t have a fully functioning dryer the entire length of my lease and it took five months to even get the complex to bring a contractor out to look at it. someone at hayman corporate offered a reimbursement for the wasted energy costs and neither he nor the hamptons ever responded to any follow ups regarding it. the management seems almost hostile towards tenants.not to mention, they nickel and dime tenants for absolutely everything. trash, pest control, water management fees, etc. the hamptons of cloverlane is like spirit airlines. you think you’re getting an ok deal because prices are a little lower than other complexes in the area, until you add up all of their insane fees and realize you could have gotten a better living experience elsewhere for a comparable price.

The apartments are good for the price, but if anything breaks you are on your own. I have lived here for 1.5 years, and I have had my dryer broken for the past 7 months. I have contacted them over 20 times, through the tenant portal, over the phone, and in person, and despite multiple promises that the dryer would be fixed, it is still broken. They have shown up twice, told us it was fixed, and then left, but it has not been fixed either time. The buzzer has been broken the entire time I have lived here, and I doubt they will fix it ever. Just know that when they tell you what amenities the apartments have, that just because those exist in the does not mean that you can actually ever use them.

It took the OVER 3 MONTHS to replace my washing machine, meaning I had to spend money at a laundry mat for 3 months. They never apologized or offered to reimburse me or anything. Just quoted "supply chain shortages" etc. even though I'm pretty sure they sell washing machines at Lowes. They also assured me on 6 different occasions they would have the maintenance team come to look at my washer. And I mean the promised me but they never did anything until I threatened to leave/make it a legal issue.

One of the worst experience. We live here from one year. Our AC blew up and we made the repair request. It is been almost one month and these people continuously give excuses. They charged so much money and facilities are none. It is such a bad place to live.
