This place has always been filthy. I just walked in and it smelled like it has always smelled, like a combination of sewage and rotting meat. I just turned around and walked back out. I have lived in this neighborhood for almost 15 years and despite new ownership it's still the same old pit I can't believe people shop here. They sell expired food. They just relabel it

The lady that works in the meat department is always good when my mom checks out. She's in a wheelchair and she always makes sure my mom's bags are properly attached to her chair very friendly lady. There was a different cashier working when my husband came thru and she laid his change down and didn't even hand it to him.. Nor did she ] bag his few item's. While I was parked in the handicap a lady worker was gathering carts and hit my car and smiled at me no apology and continued going on her way. The male employees are much better mannered. The older man with the glasses is always helpful when I shop.

I usually shop here and have had no problems until recently. The workers are absolutely rude especially the baggers and a cashier that attended me. I was checking out and the cashier gave me an a weird look as I talked. I have disability and as soon as I left I heard her mocking me the bagger and laugh. I am never returning here ever again.

I love this place. If you are looking for good inexpensive chicken and pork this is the place. Their ground beef is fresh and tastey. If you are looking for odd stuff like ox tails or good soup bones this is the place. Great prices on spices and a huge offering of Mexican necessities and hard to find items. Recognize that this is a small independent food market and they will not have the prices of Walmart or Krogers on many items but in many cases it makes sense to pay a little more and save the drive. It is nice to support local businesses when they deserve it and these guys are worth the support.

Prices are insane, food is often expired, they get such bad review they need have their employees go online to give them better reviews. Would not be surprised if these owners were somehow connected to the owners of Kas Market in Carleton, another rip off store with the same problems.

A middle-aged man (he was possibly Black and possibly an employee-but one who didn't seem to be dressed as a manager, someone who worked in loss prevention, and didn't have a name tag like the other employees) came over to the aisle I was at (at the back of the store) and said that I could not have a large tote bag in the store. I think he saw me in another area of the store, and was calling me. He was not too far away. Having faced street harassment, I thought he was some random person trying to catch my attention. I don't understand why he didn't just say in a louder (but kind voice), "Ma'am can you please leave the bag in the front? Sorry it is our store policy." It was weird to be followed around in the store. I obliged AND gave my large bag to the cashier as he insisted. This store seems to have a lot of signs on their doors/windows- what is on sale, their item availability, payment methods. If they have any store policy against large bags- they need to have it stand out. They even have a bulletin board. They are drowning with messages! If they are so concerned about large bags then they need to have a smaller sign at eye level when customers come in to shop. These persons need to understand that some of us take the bus and have tote bags or wheeled shopping carts on us. But if this store is ultimately so worried about theft, then they should have should have employees/hired security guard near the front door of the store asking customers to check in their large bag at the store before they start shopping. Following customers around the store is weird. Kroger/Meijer does not do this.
