Have always received professional and polite service, and adequately staffed unlike commercial pharmacies where I had to wait 20 minutes just to pick up a prescription.

The staff are nice and professional curbside Pharmacy is better than walking indoors it's a long walk, even though it's really beautiful. One just needs to have patience.

The technicians are always friendly, and the turn-around times are better than any chain store.

Got my EOB from my insurance company. What a Joke St. Joe's is... They charged my insurance $683.00 for physician services. They saw me for 15 minutes. Didn't do what they should have (see previous review). I saw a physicians assistant and NEVER saw a doctor and they charge this amount????? Plus, gave me the wrong diagnosis. U of M physicians charged my insurance company $525.00 and I saw TWO doctors. I saw a resident AND a REAL doctor. Not some PA like at St. Joes!

Good ole St Joe's, I like St Joe's my children were born there they take good care of me, so I have an affinity and a history with this place and so far I ok with my doctor and his PA is smart as a whip! I'm hear to tell you, brains is the new beautiful ladies and gents, as far as I'm concerned it always has been. They get the stars My gripe:I hate the conditions of the building and public restrooms! ie: Some areas need a makeover and some touch up paint! some scuffs proofing is needed. It looks overused and worn out. Believe me it matters to some that the place is clean and sanitized it's a hospital for heaven sake. All that money floating around and they can't wash the bathroom door down? try a better incentives? pay workers enough money to want to do it properly? No ones inspecting or overseeing if the cleanup is being done? I hate to sound crass but reassign them or let them go if they can't perform properly. I wanna get it but I don't. What's up people with today's ideological way of thinking. Is it that they don't care..lazy? job retaliation? I don't know but somethings missing.. these institutions aren't what it use to be and they shouldn't be! they should be better than they were. Remember.. or maybe not, when hospitals nurses, janitors, cafeteria workers had all the mechanisms at work, and they looked the part. You knew their position. Nowadays the X-ray techs, nurses, receptionist all look like janitors in those horrible washed out scrubs worn out dirty scrub outfits. I understand comfort at work and laid back Fridays but these cross the line for me. This isn't exclusive to St Joe's. I'll return because I must. We know who makes the hospital run but the doctors that practice there should request a better workplace appearance across the board.

My husband has been coming to St. Joe's for quite awhile and has always been very complimentary of the facility. He received care for back and neck surgeries and has been very happy with the care he received. Recently, my mother was diagnosed with cancer and therefore I have witnessed/been part of the care she has received. The care in the ERs (senior and non senior) has been very attentive and caring! My husband enjoyed the food he had while an inpatient. My mom had been an inpatient for a few days and also received very good care. The nurses, patient care techs, housekeepers, and nutrition staff were so friendly, patient, kind and attentive. The surgeons and other staff are amazing! There is a very nice cadre of highly qualified, and very knowledgeable and caring staff at this facility. A big kudos to Dr. Thomas who took great care of my husband for his surgeries and Dr.'s Berger and Shanker for my moms care. I recommend!

My wife has been having stomach issue for 6 to 8 weeks with sever lower abdominal pain, vomiting, diarrhea and indigestion . We took her to the emergency room and They got my wife in right away to be evaluated. She was admitted and was in for three days. They did extensive testing, MRI, upper GI scope, lots of blood work. After three days of hell, the only diagnosis they could come up with was the stomach flu. Well they didn't use the term stomach flu, the so calll internal medicine Doctor said we think she has Gastroenteritis. I wish I looking it up before she was discharged because we would have demand a different doctor! When they discharged my wife her pain level was an 8 and she was still nauseated and couldn't even tolerate the liquid diet they had her on and next thing you know they put her on solid foods. The so called doctor was sending her home with no prescription medication, told her to take Advil or something like Advil for pain. As everyone knows the stomach flu is highly contagious, if my wife had stomach flu why didn't anyone else in the household get the stomach flu and why in the would my wife have the stomach flu (Gastroenteritis) for 8 weeks and still counting. Other than the BS diagnosis the rest of the hospital staff was the very best that I've seen. I'm very angry, confused, disappointed and I'm sure it's going to be one hell of a bill. Tell me why I should pay the bill when I receive it. If I take my car in for repair and they can't fix the problem or have a concert diagnosis I sure wouldn't pay for the service. I thought we made a good choice by going to Saint Joseph Mercy hospital of Ann Arbor, we should have went to the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Signed one unhappy family.

Awful experience. This place is a mess. It took 2 hours from being told I was admitted to actually getting a bed. I saw a nurse write my vitals on a piece of a paper towel. It took 3 people 3 tries before they got a needle in me. They haven't cleaned my room at all, leaving the garbage to overflow. They never got my food orders right the first time. They inserted an IV wrong and caused massive swelling. They asked me what medications I'm taking at least 6 times and I'm supposedly part of the health system. Multiple nurses came in thinking they were checking me in for the first time. This place is awful. Please go someplace else if you can. **Forgot to mention that they left my urine sample on the counter in the ER for at least 20 minutes before sending it to the lab, while they were trying to insert that needle. Hours later they found out I had dangerously high levels of a protein in my urine, wouldn't it have been nice to know that 20 minutes sooner? **New update: Heard some docs laughing about my medical condition outside my doorway today. Very unprofessional.

The ER is completely disorganized. Handed the woman at the Registration desk my ID and she still managed to get my birthday wrong in the system so that when I got to triage, my wrist band was incorrect, causing me to have to go to Registration once again to correct it. Waited four hours for a CT, which was expected, but when my CT results came, I was discharged with the only information given that my CT was fine. Instead of explaining my diagnosis that was printed out on my discharge papers further, they just happily sent me on my way with no explanation or instructions on recovery. In addition, Registration failed to include the fact that I was in a car accident in my chart, despite being given the case number. This resulted in many phone calls from financial counselors asking me if I am interested in Medicaid since I "don't have medical insurance," which I do, but was told not to give it since my auto insurance would be billed. Very frustrated with the service at St. Joseph's.

I'm always thankful for the quick, qualified and caring service we receive here. We have been quite a few times over the past 29 years and have never been unhappy with the staff, facility or care. Quality healthcare is a right, not a privilege and I feel the St. Joe staff believes and operates under that premise.
