Excellent staff! So kind, professional, and gentle with the animals. The vet called me the following day and explained my dogs test results very clearly. If you're looking for a vet, paws and consider this one.(This review was not solicited)

Disclaimer, I have not been there in over a year, so this review is outdated! But I had some frustrations here. My cat was bitten by some sort of insect and had a large open wound, basically a nickel-sized hole in his skin. We took him here and they gave him a shot ($89) and told us to clean the wound and cover it with gauze. They did not clean it or cover it with gauze, or do anything at all, but charged $49 for a physical exam. Silliest $49 I have ever spent... Then two days later, we got a postcard in the mail reminding us that our cat was due for vaccines. They couldn't have mentioned that when I was there two days before?? Would they charge another $49 for the office visit to get the vaccines? Steam coming out of my ears. Yesterday we went to a different vet that was AMAZING where they took the time to educate us about how to keep him healthy and about vaccine series and how we have to go back for boosters in 3-4 weeks. I wish we had gotten him these vaccine series before, but we did not know. That's probably what the postcard was about, but I threw it out in frustration and that was the end of it. 18 months went by. Glad we switched and now know!

We’ve taken a steady stream of dogs and cats to Dr. Kunoff for 20+ years. Although we’ve moved further away from the office and there are other clinics that would be closer and more convenient, we continue to go to Ypsilanti Animal Clinic because we trust them wholeheartedly with our animals. We’ve brought Dr. Kunoff everything from simple vaccination needs to complicated cancers, surgeries, and even a heartworm positive rescue pup, and he has handled each situation with kindness and knowledgeable, skilled expertise. We trust his advice completely and appreciate that he always gives us options while letting us know what he would do if it was his pet. He’s also been with us while we’ve gone through a number of end of life situations over the years, and have so appreciated his compassionate, steady guidance. The rest of the staff is equally amazing! You simply can’t go wrong if you choose this practice for your veterinary care.

I have always had a great experience in taking my two dogs and cat to the clinic. We decided on YAC because of it's vicinity, but were pleasantly surprised by how genuinely kind, caring, and exemplary their staff and procedures are.The building may be small but that doesn't mean a thing in terms of the capability within. I've always been 100% happy with all of my interactions and experiences, and so have my fur babies <3You can tell that the vets and staff really care!

Our former vet we dealt with for 15 years was phenomenal; so his shoes were gonna be hard to fill. This office met my high expectations in the first visit. Gentle, kind, easy to get an appointment, barely any wait time, accessible to talk to about outside sources for meds, foods, and anything else they don't sell or stock. Very personable. I will be a happy customer for decades to comes. Make the drive time and become a customer with them.

Where did all the veterinarians go?As you may know the health care industry inthe US is in crisis mode, nurses and MDs are inshort supply and staffing is a problem everywhere.Did you also know that local veterinarians areclosing their doors due to not having enough staffto keep their doors open, and not having the abilityto sell preventative medications? Complicatingthis is the internet. With Amazon and big boxstores like Chewy, 800 pet meds, ect. are puttingyour local veterinarians out of business!!!Even the emergency vets are being affected,Blue Pearl and Ann Arbor animal hospital are nowonly open during daytime business hours, noevening, nights, or holiday hours. 2 months agoLeo needed to go to the vet emergently on a Sundayevening, I could not find any vet open that wasable to help us, what A HELPLESS FEELING! And theones that I could find open were hours away andhad wait lists up to 8 hours to get into see avet!!Dollars are tight everywhere, everyone wantsto save cash wherever possible I understand I dotoo, but some food for thought. If everyonecontinues to get your pet medications from the bigbox stores that can buy millions of doses cheaperthan your vet, and your vet goes out of business, who from that big box store is going to come andhelp you with your sick best friend???I have been bringing my best friends here for 30 years! Dr Kunoff has taken over the practice form Dr Glencer, friendly, knowledgeable, affordable and caring staff. Always providing the best care for my best friends!

I have been taking my pet here for 30+ years. Dr. Glencer started the business years ago and now Dr. Kunoff and his wife Rebecca have taken over the establishment. They are a kind and compassionate family oriented business that genuinely cares about your pet! They are reasonably priced, knowledgeable, experienced and make you feel like you are part of the family. Support your local veterinarian, your best friend deserves it! UPDATE to my review: The owner of the practice reached out to me personally and discussed my visit and how they could make their service even better in the future. I really appreciate the open dialogue and receptiveness to feedback! After this discussion, I'm very happy to say that I'll be taking my animals back to Ypsi Animal Clinic for future appointments. They are obviously very knowledgeable and professional, and they care about their patients. I may have had one unusual experience but I think they are an awesome vet overall!___Old Review:I'm in the process of switching my animals (1 cat, 1 dog) to a new vet, as my old vet is too far away after moving into a new house. My experience bringing my cat here went smoothly - the tech who came out to my car was very nice, explained everything and it was overall a good experience. If I only had this experience, it would be 5 stars.Bringing my dog here was a totally different experience. The tech who came out to my car was very rushed, told me my dog needed to be on an anxiety medication that wasn't normally given for other vet visits (though the tech said it was mandatory), and was generally just very short with me. I feel like she wasn't listening to me, which is really concerning for a first time vet visit. When the vet brought my dog back out to my car, he was very nice and professional. If my only experience was with the intake person, I probably wouldn't come back.

Been going to this vet with our dog and cat for 4+ years. They’ve always been wonderful, responsive, and kind. We have never felt like they have tried to pressure us into more expensive options. Our dog gets nervous and anxious going most places, but weirdly loves going here.

This is one of the only vet clinics in the area that won’t gaslight you into thinking you are overreacting. I’m an over-thinker, over-worrier and have a wild imagination that always assumes the worst. This clinic is instantly puts my mind at ease and that’s not an easy thing to do for high strung pet parents like myself! The highest recommendation from Fur Ball Society. Thank you!

Staff and Vet truly care about our pets: 2-kitties & 1-Chihuahua. Heartworm, flea & tick meds competitively priced. COVID protocols are in place yet, Dr. Kunoff will come to the car to discuss pets' visit and answer questions.

I rescued a Frenchie that’s recovering from a spine injury so she’s got some extra concerns to deal with. Dr. Kunoff was great and gave me info on special rehab/PT for her. Very happy ?

In the past, we received good care here when we were allowed to take our pets inside and have a conversation with the doc. Recently, miscommunication makes me reconsider. For example, I was dropping off one of my cats for his shots and annual check up, but they asked about examining something else completely different (as the reason for his visit) when I was handing him over, and I had to sort it out with the staff member. That’s really, really concerning. Owners aren’t given the option to witness what’s happening, and as much as we’ve enjoyed coming here and how convenient the location is, it isn’t worth losing peace of mind.I work with newborns - I’m the first one to be enthusiastic about Covid caution. But not at the potential expense of my pet’s health (not to mention, handing them to a stranger at the vet and then abandoning them for a bit can be really hard on an animal who has already been through a lot)Until owners are allowed inside again and can see what’s actually happening with our three pets’ care, we will be going somewhere else.
