Very immersive experience and so many animals to see. Favorites were the goats and the rabbit house. Would recommend especially for families with young kids! Very accessible for strollers.

It was great but no area to feed the goats, no bunnies to pet and no baby chicks like the previous location.

This is such a great place to bring your little ones. Cows, horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, chicks, chickens, ducks, geese, etc. all which you can pet! Except for the birds. The cows and horses LOVE scratches. Just be careful your toddlers don’t surprise the goats ?

Clean, hands on for kids & adults, animals are interactive and friendly, they treat the animals so well. They always need support to run the facility and care for the animals but don’t push it on you.

Great spot for kids! We have one year old who enjoyed seeing and letting the animals. Cute benches. Lots of hand washing stations. Wasn't too crowded on Friday toward end of summer.

We were looking for something to do with our 3 year old and found this place online. Had an amazing time and our daughter didn’t want to leave. The owner came by and said hi and gave us a tour and we got to pet lots of animals. Highly recommend going to the farm!

We had a great time! Our favorite part was petting the bunnies and chicks. The staff was friendly and shared lots of interesting information about the animals.

Perfect spot for kids of all ages. Drove up from Saugutuk. Worth noting, it was a very twisty drive. You can't wing getting here, but it's worth all the turns. Ample parking. Friendly reception area. Self-guided map. Clean barns. Friendly animals and great variety. Beautiful paintings within the barns of the animals. My toddler loved the baby chicken and bunny petting area. We have goats, so she also loved snuggling a baby lamancha goat. Gift store area (at entrance / exit) has toys and some eggs and chicken. They also had an instructional area for field trips.

We visit Holland every summer and have visited The Critter Barn almost every time. This time we were very disappointed after driving 40mins out to their new location. It’s in the middle of a dirt field and is no shade whatsoever, the old place had grass and greenery for shade as well as open pastures for the sheep and other livestock. We did not even make it in because we were under the impression it still ran off of donations like it has for the past decade, however this was not the case it costed $8 per person! You also used to be able to hold/pet the animals and you apparently can’t even do that anymore. I’ve read the more recent reviews and I have seen other loyal visitors have also been disappointed. Sadly won’t be back

This was a delightful place to visit with our two small children (one of whom was even in a slightly grumpy mood until he saw all the animals!). It's basically a viewing and petting zoo spread among several buildings. There is an entrance/visitor center where you pay the small admission fee, then most people progress to the largest barn which houses rabbits, chicks, and horses. Then you can wander into the other areas to see an assortment of other cute creatures. The place seems well maintained and the animals well cared for, and the staff are very pleasant. A fun, low-cost way to spend an hour or so.

I’ve brought my grandkids here the past few years both for just a fun outing and also for day classes. What a wonderful, educational experience!! Miss Mary is the best teacher and knows how to teach while handling little squirmy kids in class.☺️ The last class I took my two 6 year granddaughters to was a 1 1/2 hour class one day a week for 3 weeks called Little Farmers. Wow!!! I’m almost embarrassed to say that I learned some barnyard animal facts that I never knew before! Win/win!Miss Mary is all about cleanliness and safety with the kids, which I appreciate. And she knows how to keep their attention and make it so interesting yet age relative.I have nothing but good things to say about this gem of a place. So glad we found it.⭐️??⭐️??⭐️??⭐️??⭐️??

Just visited the new location and was very disappointed. I can see this is a place that will not be friendly for our family anymore. The walk ways are extremely small not great for strollers or wagons do to the large groups around everywhere. There were no more cats which my kids absolutely loved. You also have to go through a second building upon entering which is like a gathering area for their groups and was very hard to get through again due to so many people and not large walk areas. Admission has also gone up which makes me feel like this is now more of a cash grab for their new facility on the backs of families that have long supported in their old location. So long critter barn, we’ll be at the zoo!

The old barn was so much better. Yes, the facilities have improved, but you get to pet like no animals and at the old barn, you had such better access to petting the animals. I also miss the cats! Where did they go? Used to be able to go into the chicken coop and inside with the goats and sheep. I miss how it used to be! Probably won’t go back.

We went last year and they mentioned then that they were moving to a new location. The new location is awesome with plenty of parking, very clean, great concrete walkways for strollers and lots of wash stations. The animals looked healthy and happy. Highly recommend for a family outing with kids.

My daughter and I had fun spending time with all the animals. We especially loved holding the baby chicks.
