Marv’s Car Lot I hold Mark R directly responsible for selling me a vehicle he knew had preexisting issues but failed to disclose. He did not offer a warranty

Genuinely nice guys and very friendly but bought a truck from them and within 2 days of having the vehicle I had to bring it back to them because their mechanics had not tightened something down completely (I think rotors or brake calipers) nothing bad but still inconvenient. Anyways truck ran fine but a bunch of other inconvenient things started popping up like the A/C not working, one of the rear windows’ motor was rusted to the point of not working and is a $1400 fix. The drivers side headlight went out right after I bought it and one of the windshield wipers stopped working. I would make sure you’re careful with what vehicle you pick and make sure you get it inspected somewhere beforehand

Great Car, fair price, salesman (Matthew) was very helpful. Very open and transparent through entire process. Had a small issue post sale with a mechanical issue that did not come up in the test drive. Good, honest, and open communication with Marv's and the issue was resolved promptly. Would highly recommend to another, and would definitely buy from Marv's again in the future.

STAY CLEAR OF THIS LOT! We bought a car and five days after buying it found out the transmission is bad and needed to be replaced. They sent us to a horrible repair shop that had the car for six weeks; after three weeks of having it told us they do not work with this car lot, do not work with their labor rate, and do not have any affiliation with this company. So we paid hundreds out of pocket for the repair. This horrible lot sells lemons and then lies to you so you won’t return the car. The warranty is a joke! Do not buy it; simply go to a reputable place!!

I never post reviews but I feel like this deserves some attention. Canada Junk. Avoid. They will take every penny they can get their grimy fingers on. I don’t want your apology Marv’s, just know you are money hungry and hurt the community. Owning a vehicle for around year should not decay the price by $10,000.

I had posted a review just before this and feel it deserves to be redone. I am very happy with the vehicle I got, and the sale went smoothly. In the first week of driving the vehicle the battery, brake pads, and rotors needed to be replaced. Matthew responded very quickly to my original review and was more than willing to help me with these issues. With that in mind I would highly recommend Marv's Car Lot and am very grateful that they are willing to help me, even though I did buy the vehicle As Is. I should have communicated with them before posting the original review.

Recently purchased a truck from here, they were great at working on the price with me when i mentioned their listed price was above what bluebook says it should be. I had some issues with the paperwork (my fault) and the salesman Taylor was very patient with me.Edit:Dropping from 5 stars to 3 after discovering the entire underside of the truck is covered in oil ( have yet to determine why). I was under the truck trying to diagnose why i have a terrible vibration at 70mph...seems the driveshaft is bad and being that it is a 2-piece non-serviceable part, I'm out $500 more on a replacement part.Second edit: Dropping to 2 stars as I keep finding issues. When they replaced the rear brakes, they didn't replace the parking brake drums, they just zip tied the parts closed, the back of the headlight is completely obliterated and will need to be replaced, the foglight is being held in by zip ties, one of the tubes that runs to the intake had a broken connector and was zip tied back on...Im fairly confident in saying almost all of these "repairs" we're done by marvs due to the almost new condition zip ties in an otherwise very oily and dirty environment. Very disappointed

I bought a VW Passat from Marv’s a while back and it was the smoothest experience buying a car I’ve ever had. The vehicle has been great and lasted a long time! Taylor was very friendly and made the whole process a breeze. I highly recommend Marv’s.By the way, I drove my trade-in from the other side of the state just because I heard about this dealership’s great reputation and I wasn’t disappointed!

This place is absolutely amazing! They have been in business for a very long time and are truly an amazing company to purchase from. They are friendly, honest, family oriented, and I would recommend them to anyone I know. They truly helped me out and I am extremely grateful for that! As anyone with common sense would know buying a used vehicle from any car dealership being a used or new/used car lot you take on the responsibility of making sure the car is in reliable working order before you purchase it. As I always do! These lots take on so many cars from so many different people that things obviously may be missed in an inspection but it is great to know and hear that they are willing to make it right for the consumer in all situations. Sad to see someone bash a company that offered to help them and they chose not to allow them to do so but to bash them all over social media and Google. So if you want to know for yourself the type of people you will deal with at Marvs then go in and meet them!

My son bought a car from Marv's Car Lot 12 days ago, and it has HUGE safety concerns. The car is not drivable until it is fixed. Jon TenHarmsel, the owner will do nothing about it.The car has twice now accelerated after my son took his foot off the gas. Jon's answer to this was "I've never heard of that happening, the petal doesn't just stick, he must be doing something wrong".When I mentioned the car makes a loud clunking sound, then shudder like it's trying to shift, but doesn't, he said "the transmission doesn't shift". I asked if it might be the engine instead of the transmission, he said "no".I mentioned there is an intermittent metal on metal noise, Jon said "I personally drove that car 40 miles without a single problem, so I don't know where your issues are coming from".The only solution he offered was to bring it to Marv's mechanics, which I will not do, it is a conflict of interest.I am being it to my mechanic, at my own cost, and fixing whatever is wrong at my own cost. There was no offer for compensation, no attention to customer satisfaction or safety, and no concern about a 20 year old driving a car that accelerates on its own.

Sorry gotta give a poor review on how they handled a less than satisfactory situation on Facebook with immaturity and unprofessionalism. I could never recommend them and how they handled the situation is testament on how they'd run their business. Do better. It really sounded like they handled this situation extremely poorly and dismissed the customers concerns. I'd be just as frustrated with them if someone tried to tell me I was lying about car problems.

I have purchased several cars from Marv’s over the years. It’s great to have such a reputable place locally. Great family owned business!

My adult son bought his first newer car here with in the last couple weeks. Has 1 year warranty he purchased as well. My husband and I were with him when he bought it. Today they went to change the oil and had to remove the plastic cover, as they would have done when they changed the oil at Marv’s. The subframe has a very large hole in it, rusted through. This is a hazard and incredibly disappointing that they would sell a car for $22000 that is not safe to drive. The “extra” warranty does not cover this. My son has reached out to Taylor letting him know what has been found. I will update the review pending Taylor’s response. I hope they will stand behind the vehicle and work with my son.8-1-2022 update. Taylor has been in contact with my son all weekend and Marvs will be replacing the part free of charge for my son.I have to say I am impressed. Taylor did let us know that they did not change the oil and were unaware of the subframe being rusted through. I appreciate the fact they didn’t know they were selling this car with the issue. There responses and follow up have been timely. With so many choices of places to purchase used cars this seems to be a honest dealership.
