My dad has been at Royal Park for 7 years. The staff is very friendly and caring and he has made many new friends. He enjoys all the activities they offer and frequently makes comments about how the meals in the dining hall are very good. He states he knows he made the right decision to come live there.

My mom has been at Royal Park for over 8 years since my dad passed away. Royal Park has been a blessing in so many ways, from the awesome staff, friends she has made to the outstanding facility, I cannot see her anywhere else at this stage in her life. We would not change a thing. Thanks

My parents lived at RP for years. Recently my mom passed away and my dad could not be in a better environment. He has many friends and staff who care about him and check in on him. They both enjoyed their time there together enjoying daily lunch in the dining room, church service on Sundays, programs to attend and just an over all feeling of being at home. We could not be more grateful for this wonderful place.

My mother, Yvonne Severance, wrote the following review of Royal Park Place:In the six months that I've been a resident at Royal Park Place in Zeeland, I have found a beautifully kept, clean, and comfortable facility to call home. There are many amenities such as an exceptional and homey library, an exercise room, clean laundry facilities, as well as many areas for people to gather for activities that feed the mind, body, and soul. In the dining room, we are served nutritious and well prepared food as though we were royalty.Mr. Zylstra's management team and the staff are amazing - patient, gracious, and kind. The residents are thoughtful and friendly. I have been truly blessed to have been led to Royal Park Place.

I moved into Royal Park Place in August, 2022; after conducting a diligent search of numerous Retirement Communities I determined Royal Park was the Place for me. I am delighted I made the Move!Royal Park is Maintained on a consistent bases; the Cleanliness is unbelievable. My particular Apartment was Refurbished with New Flooring (Carpet and Wood Flooring) as well as Stainless Steel Appliances. The Bathroom has excellent space and the Walk In Shower is outstanding. The View I have is Beautiful and I overlook a Large Pond! (Fishing for Residents as well: "How Good is That!")Jeff Zylstra is the Community Manager and has been since 1993; that says it all! Mr. Zylstra is Personable, Professional in every way!The Meals which are provided are excellent in Variety and Presented in a fashion like a Quality Restaurant! Jef Koert the Director of Dining Services appears to work Miracles; I assume which is Institutional but you can't tell it. The Wait Staff and Kitchen Staff are all so Friendly; they obvious take Pride in what they do!My first impression of Royal Park was with Kim Douma along with Kari Kruis the Community Relations Directors. Kim Douma worked digitally until she found the Ideal Apartment for me; she came through with all that was promised!Paula St. Amant the Life Enrichment Director coordinates some very Fun Activities and Outings for the Residents! I find it very astounding what is provided. The Office Manager Kim VanDis coordinates so many Responsibilities it is impossible to outline. Kim always has a Smile and pays attention to the Safety and Needs of Residents.Dave Brummel is the Maintenance Director and is responsible for the overall Maintenance of Royal Park. He is very Personable as well! The way he goes about his Duties is unbelievable! In addition Royal Park has a Senior Fitness Specialist being Sara Doezema. She encourages oversees the Residents a Healthy Being and Active Lifestyle!Royal Park without a doubt is a Christian Community with a Christian Staff as well as Christian Residents! Chaplin Cindy Nyhoff oversees the Spiritual Needs of the Royal Park Community. There is many opportunities to Worship during the week as a Regular Church Service on Sunday Night. In a very short time I have made some very good friends; there is absolutely nothing I would change.Yours in service,Michael (Mike) K. My mother has been at Royal Park for 4 years. Enjoys the food, management, staff and socializing very much. She is comfortable there and has been very happy. The lack of freedom during Covid-19 has been less than joyful for her, but the effort to keep the facility and residents Covid Free has been exceptional. That is the reason for their very low rate of people getting the disease. Everyone there tries very hard to keep the residents safe and happy. There is no place I would rather have her be. Royal Park Place is a beautiful facility where residents can own their own apartment condo or rent from a apartment condo owner. It is a semi assisted living place where condos have emergency pulls in various rooms yet residents can remain independent. They can decide to receive meals or they can cook in their kitchens. When covid isn’t involved, RPP had many activities that were greatly enjoyed. Activities such as music groups visiting, interest groups educational activities, bingo, parties, the mini bus taking them shopping, or to concerts, and field trips, and special activities at holidays. At Christmas the staff decorates the place beautifully. This facility is located in a beautiful area of ponds, fountains, and paved paths where you can walk to Huizenga Park. RPP has tried hard to incorporate activities within covid guidelines, and has been successful with keeping the covid cases low. I am impressed they had Spectrum Health come in as soon as possible to vaccinated all residents who wanted it. The staff have all consistently been very friendly and accommodating. It is nice seeing the friendships of residents and staff.

My parents have been at RPP for 4 1/2 years. During this time, my mother passed away from complications due to Parkinson's disease. I have found RPP to be a caring, friendly community with compassionate and empathetic leadership. The restrictions related to COVID-19 have kept the cases there at a commendable level. Open, honest communications go out regularly to residents and their families. They are informative with a touch of humor. I recommend RPP without reservations for your loved one!
