“We have been sending our child to Gilden Woods for two years now. We have experienced their staffing issues, COVID protocol, and changing in hands. Even when my husband and my employment situation changed and we looked around at a more conveniently located child care program, we kept coming back to Gilden Woods. No other program along the lakeshore holds a candle to them, and believe me, we toured many of them.Their excellent communication, including in times of difficult circumstances (like being short staffed) made it easy for my husband and I to make plans ahead of time. They have also been fantastic about communicating new policies and procedures with ample time to adjust. Jamie and Melody are warm and knowledgeable faces of the program who are always happy to answer questions. They also have a great communication system with parents with notes about my child’s diaper changes, eating habits, and what they learned that day.The team is all so kind and obviously love children. Even when my son is dropped off in tears (as toddlers are won’t to do), they greet him with smiles and open arms, eager to turn his attitude around. Their curriculum is also amazing, and my kiddo is much further ahead than his cousins at the same age.We now drive out of the way to send our son here, and he loves coming and spending time with all of his friends and teachers. Child care is expensive no matter where you go, but at Gilden Woods I know I am getting the value for my money, and knowing my child is safe, secure, and having a great time.”
