I stop at the Akeley Shell station every time I pass through town, and never had an issue with using a credit card outside. I used my card, it took rewards and my credit card and locked my card. I assumed it took payment. To my surprise, I got a call from the Akeley police stating they got a report that I ran off without paying. Mind you he mentioned he knew their machines had issues yet thought I would dare do it intentionally. I had also gone inside, the young lady could’ve warmed me their machines had issues instead of all this hoopla, making me out as a bad guy. Not only that but the Akley police somehow got my address, phoned the facility I am staying and reported me there to, not calling them back to advise them they were aware of the credit card machines at this store. Bad way to run business if you ask me.
