We stayed one night and enjoyed the stay. We travel with our dog so are always needing a pet friendly place. Our room looked, smelled, and just was clean. The bed was comfortable. The front desk attendant was very, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was satisfying. We would stay again.

Worst place ever. This place should not be called hotel! This is a motel, very very low grade motel: big and small flies inside the room, hair on the walls in the bathroom, carpet and bedsheets are wet. The water in the pool is cloudy and dirty. After that super dirty pool and jacuzzi, I wanted take a hot shower for at least 1Hr to clean off that dirty pool water, but there wasn’t hot water! Breakfast is nasty, fruits are old and moldy. This place should be closed.

Mold alert! If you have an issue with mold, do not stay at this hotel. I saw water damage and had an instant reaction to mold in room 224 and overheard staff talking about mold recurring in room 205. Front office staff were super helpful, really great people. Location is fine. But mold is a no go for me and my family so I’ll not be staying at this hotel again.

comfy lodgings, good breakfast offerings, dog friendly and they don't gouge you on pet fees like some chains continue to do since covid. will stray again

Very clean, quiet, kid-friendly and accommodating hotel. Great customer service and most importantly, the most comfortable beds!

Clean, comfy and quiet with a decent breakfast. No waffles but made up for it with good quality yogurt.

I got bit up by bed bugs all over my body, and was honestly kind of dirty for the most part

I’ve stayed in many Holiday Inn hotels over the years and generally find them pretty reliably good. But the location in Albert Lea, MN WAS substandard in many respects. But the two worst aspects were these: my room door didn’t latch closed properly; these wasn’t a huge problem when I was in the room as I could use the deadbolt, but was a problem if I left the room as the door didn’t even close tight. I informed the front desk and got a blank look on the face; I said this was a safety and security problem.
Second, it seemed clear that someone else had already been in the room as the beds looked rumpled; the room was probably rejected because of the faulty door latch. Again a blank look on the face.
The place had few amenities, not particularly clean; I would not go there again.

It’s Albert Lea… not much happening here, especially in the middle of fields next to two truck stops. Evening desk clerk was absolutely amazing - super helpful, friendly, and professional.
Rooms aren’t the best; nor are they the worst. Showers are decent. Internet is extremely slow.
Check out is noon, so imagine the surprise when WHILE SHOWERING at 11:10 am (with do not disturb hanging on handle) the door to the room opened and housekeeping asked “are you checking out at noon?” I said, “I’m in the shower!” The guy said, “are you part of a group? Are they all checking out at noon?” I said “what time is it?? And I’m in the shower!” He said “ok” and closed the door.
I was sharing a room with a coworker who had left the room, otherwise we would’ve had it double locked.
When we departed at 11:30am I asked the front desk person about the housekeeping policy and she said they’re allowed to enter rooms at 9am regardless of signage. She seemed annoyed to be at work; AirPods in ears and barely looked up as we checked out.
