STAY AWAY YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! I started back in 2019 with a local company that after two buyouts ended being Gig Fire. What a train wreck! Gig Fire has zero reliability, zero customer service and are down right rude! I started my service in 2019 in a small town without any issues what so ever… But, the minute Gig Fire took over the local business everything went down hill. Especially after the federal government took them to court they started cutting back on staffing. If you value your time and want quality service and reliability I would go elsewhere.

This isp is the absolute worst for reliability. The service is constantly going down. They always have limited representatives for customer service, which is basically them saying, "Yeah, it'll be fixed, and someone will call you later." It's never fixed, and no one ever calls. The honeymoon phase will end quickly once you realize how often this connection fails. Save your money and go with anything else, even if it's slower.
Update: After many, many calls and complaints on my behalf, my equipment was swapped out for what the rest of the service utilizes. With this, reliability has improved by leaps and bounds. Even heavy rain didn't induce much fade. So listen, if you are running on older hardware(site dependant), it's not worth it. If they have you on ubiquity equipment, then it's solid enough to run as your main isp.
2nd Update 9.8.24: Everything was fine, until the network issues attacked. I don't know what is going on, and I never get any other answer other than network technicians are working on it. About 3 weeks ago a major outage occurred throughout the Gigfire network, since then....it hasn't been the same. Daily drops have returned, hours of no connectivity on a daily basis. Rain fade is definitely affecting service now where before it was a slow down rather than a full loss of service. I will update if I ever get resolution.

Will be cancelling our service today. Have had on and off issues with our connection since we had it installed over a year ago. After returning home from a 12hr shift we realized our internet was out again. And had been for the better part of 24 hours. So I called the service line to see if we had any known outages in the area. The gal on the phone tried to help me get things running. But you can only unplug and re-plug the router so many times before I know it’s not going to work. I asked repeatedly to get a service tech to come out and she said it was not an option, that she was the only one who could be on any assistance at that hour. I stressed that my home security system runs off our WiFi connection. And even that did not elevate her concerns to resolve our problem. After being in the phone for almost an hour. Our service was never regained, and a field tech never showed up. So I’m going to be moving my business to another company.

Lack of communication is number one problem if you ask me called in couple weeks ago needing to add internet to a room first salesmen’s sent me a Vilo said it would work for the situation and it doesn’t, then sit on the phone for 3 hours to talk to someone that’s sending a technician out and doesn’t tell me when the technician is coming out been waiting for 2 weeks to hear back from them and haven’t heard anything poor communication!

I’m editing my review again as it’s been 5 days and we’re out again! No explanation.
After 2 years of “service” I am updating my review to 1 star because the people who answer the phones are polite and professional. The actual service is junk. It’s out all the time! It doesn’t matter if it’s clear and sunny or windy and rainy or snowy. This week, service has been out 3 times, Sunday, Monday, and Thursday. I haven’t gotten to Friday or Saturday but I’m not holding my breath that I’ll have service. Also, when service is out and you call or chat the answer is ALWAYS “You are part of a known outage. Our team is aware of this and working on it.” NEVER is an ETA provided, sometimes they just don’t answer when you call, and if you ask for a credit while in the call, you will have to call again with dates and times service was out to actually get a credit. If it’s a known outage, you know when it’s out and back on. Do yourself a favor and find a different company for service.
Mia was amazing! She was very quick to respond and very knowledgeable. She answered every question and concern I had regarding the plan to choose, what’s included, what happens if there’s an issue, everything. I would highly recommend her and this company!

This service is wild. It is 5 x faster than spectrum. Rich reitsma was my salesman. Very nice guy. I will not go back to any other service. I downloaded a 137 gb game in 30 minutes. Exceptional internet
