We are sooo disappointed and disgusted with Chris at H&R Block on Main Street in Anoka. We had Chris do our 2024 taxes and we ended up receiving a letter from the IRS stating we owed money. We brought this letter back into Chris and she said she will find the error and get it taken care of. A month later we received another letter showing the past due amount. We tried reaching Chris at the office but they are closed for the season. We ended up driving to St. Louis Park and was not only advised they couldn't fix it because we did not pay for the peace of mind even though we clearly stated yes as we have always done on past tax years BUT was also told we didn't send in our property tax. I told them that Chris advised we wouldn't get property tax back for 2024 because we made to much. We figured she's the professional and didn't question it. Finds out that we are eligible for our property tax refund.
This has put a distaste in our mouth and we (along with our 2 daughters) will not be using Chris for future tax preparations. I'm not sure if we will use H&R black in the future as this was a major screw up.
