Dog in pain. 😰Small dog getting their hind legs and face trimmed. Dog was Loudly scream crying and pawing at the groomer to let go of his tight grip of chin hair, and stop cutting their legs!
So Many shoppers were Alarmed.
I filmed the bad treatment to show Petco and inform people who don’t want their pets suffering the same treatment..

You have more dog food buried in the restocking cards rather than on the actual shelves. Yet your workers are always walking around leaning in things and small talking at the register. Are you aware no one works ?

I adopted my yorkie mix at an adoption day in the store almost 8 years ago. Rusty has been groomed there since, without too many problems...until last year. A new groomer, a young man groomed Rusty but neglected to clip his nails and I had it done somewhere else. The next time I complained to the same man and he clipped the nails properly. The next time he groomed Rusty, he neglected to clip the toe nails again. I paid to have it done somewhere else, again. The next time Rusty went there for grooming a new young blond girl was the groomer and I pointed out the long toe nails and she agreed to do the nails properly but when we got home my roommate commented on how terrible the nails were done. I had also been paying to have his teeth brushed and have no doubt they never did that either. Keep in mind that I have tipped the groomers on top of the fees!
I scheduled him at a different groomer. I wanted you to know how many people mentioned this to me and they were all told that Petco groomers fail to do their job on a regular basis. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF BY THEM, BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Yes the store has a great selection of products. HOWEVER I was NOT impressed with the quality of care any of the animals/fish were receiving. For example, there was a ball python with NOTHING in its tank. I was there for an hour and no one tended to him. 2nd the fish tanks where disgusting, I could NOT see through a quarter of the tanks.
I am deeply disgusted with the care these animals/fish were receiving. I will NOT return nor recommend this store to anyone

The Clinic and the doctors are friendly people and treat our pets with love, but the cashier staff has to receive a customer service course, they do not offer bags when you shop, nor do they offer you the receipt and with unfriendly faces.

I usually don’t write reviews, but I feel this could help PETCO management and groomers learn from my experience so other dogs don’t have to go through the same issue. I brought my dog in for grooming at this location in mid-December. When I picked him up, he looked great—the haircut, bath, and nail trim all seemed fine. However, once we got home, his behavior was off, unlike anything I had seen before.
He began showing signs of skin irritation on his back. After examining him and consulting a veterinarian, I discovered he had severe razor burn around his tail and anus. It has been nearly five days, and he is still in discomfort. Additionally, one of his nails was cut too short, causing it to bleed.
I moved close to this area and decided to give Petco a chance, but after this experience, I realize I won’t be going back.

Petco will charge you for a bag after spending money in their stores instead of supplying you with a bag for your purchases. Very greedy company.

This store is so incredibly frustrating. Multiple times now I have picked up my curbside order only to get home and realize they missed a bag. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to check your entire pickup area to make sure you don’t miss anything before you bring orders out to customers. Now I have to drive all the way back to the store to get it, again. I understand it happens sometimes but this has happened multiple times in a row now. So ridiculous.

There was a buy 2, get 30% off sale for cat litter. I came to pay after getting my items in my cart. The casher wasn't sure about the coupon online, in which I checked with another staff member to see if it was accepted in store. I was told yes, it's good!
So I had to almost argue with him, and show him my phone screen for the 30% to be taken off. Otherwise, great experience!

Had an appt with groomer Adam today who refused any amount of customer service to help. First time we tried to use Petco Grooming and will not try again.
I filled out the online questionnaire for check in and shared my dog has epilepsy.
The online check in and emails said I needed to bring proof of vaccination which we brought but said nothing about needing any medication list or written approval from a vet. Upon check in Adam refused to help and said he needed a physical paper note from the vet. We asked if he could call or receive an email approval from the Vet and were denied.
Terrible experience and we received attitude instead of any helpful response.

Been buying cat litter here for 13 years, but never again. They changed their formula so that it creates huge dust clouds/dissolves your cat’s pee balls and your scoopers can’t pick them up forcing you to have to dump all of your cat litter.
They claim they haven’t changed it, yet hundreds of people have reported the same problem on their website reviews of their cat litter.
What a sneaky and dishonest way to force people to run out of cat litter sooner so they have to buy more.
Go back to your old formula.
