I went to shop and use the remaining balance on a gift card (and I had the original receipt showing the balance). Neither check out girl knew how to help me. The manager came and told me I had to go back to the original activation email from months ago. But, my phone doesn't store emails more than a month or two. She tried to tell me they had nothing to do with the gift card and couldn't help me ... So, I asked why is Ulta's name on it? At that point, she quickly left for the back room.
It was a very unpleasant experience and I don't think I will be back. ☹️
IMO their gift cards are a hassle!
And, the Apple Valley MN manager should've done better.

Elly was incredibly helpful today. I had brought in a old nail polish that I wanted to match the color and she spent so much time looking at all the nail polishes with me. She was kind and friendly. Then she found it online for me using her phone. If I had a business, I would want Elly to work there. Her Customer Service skills were remarkable. I just know Elly will go far in life.

Friendly employees, clean store. I always have a good experience in this store and I’ve been shopping for almost a decade at this location. Recently did an exchange and it was super quick and easy- employee made sure that the item I needed was in-stock before continuing the exchange.

The saleslady was very helpful. I hate taking time to do anything wuth my hair and she understood and helped me find a product to define my waves but still be a wash and go. I have seen a difference. (My hair is heavy and unruly and most products don't do anything.)

I always have a great experience here at this Ulta Beauty location. I never have had any experiences at their salon, so I can't speak to that. But the customer service at the desk and floor have always been helpful. They always greet me with a smile when I enter and I also appreciate how diverse the staff is.
They can get busy especially around the holidays, but they always go through the customers pretty quickly and efficiently.
I love how bright and open the space is. There's a lot of color in the displays and they have a huge variety of products. Pretty much anything you need for makeup and skin is located here.
Their credit card program is great and there's lots of rewards you can get.
I recently brought my toddlers and they loved looking around at everything with me. I also didn't feel judged by the staff for bringing small kids to the shop. It's hard to get out with small kids these days, but friendly staff definitely make it a bit easier. :)

Not a good experience the stylist did not give me the color scheme I was looking for 4 days from my wedding she offered to correct it but I am getting married this weekend I do not have another 3.5 hours to spend here! Then the best part they try to charge me almost 500$! Which I refused to pay I have been going to Ulta Apple valley for years and never have I ever paid more than 300$ for 4 hours of service mind you. I am disgusted by this Ulta location they did comp it down to 316$ which was very nice but I will never go back to this location again and I strongly recommend going to another Ulta location for your salon needs.
