Our church meets at this venue Sunday mornings. It's a very professional place. We'll lit with windows or electric screens can be lowered. Plug in play projector for presentations. Live music sounds great, but it's easy to get too loud with a full band. All on one level for handicap access. Easy loading but bring a cart for your stuff. parking for 100s surrounded by miles of walking trails. The kids go outside and run if needed. Kitchenette for serving food. Leave it spotless.Playground: Miles of paved walking trailsRestrooms: Modern Handicap access.

I've been here more times than I could possibly count throughout my entire life. I've been on every trail and have cross-country skiid and canoed here. I absolutely love it. The best thing the Hormel family has done for Austin, in my opinion.

I learned quite a few interesting facts about the nature around this area. Nice exhibits, pleasant modern building. But most of all, the nature trails here are beautiful. A very good complement to the wonderful Myre-Big Island State Park which is about 20 minutes drive to the east.

My wife goes running at the Hormel Nature Center, and loves it. I gave it a shot and also like it. I also see a lot of families taking their kids out on walks.

Very lovely visitor center and trails. No dogs or bicycles allowed, though. I guess I see the reasoning. But it's their place, their rules and that's okay. You can't beat the admission fee....free. Do go and enjoy.

Only a four because the dogs aren't allowed;). Ok, it's good dogs aren't allowed, because there is a ton of deer and other wildlife out there.Restrooms: There is a building open during business hours, it is new and very nice. Outside of business hours is a portapotty.Dog-friendliness: No dogs allowed
