TL;DR - Cozy and quick stop right off of I35 that has a lot going for it, but a sub-par burger brought down my experience. Would give it another try but probably wouldn't get a burger again. This Was Weird:They add a "voluntary service fee" that is basically a 12% tip to get shared amongst the staff, which I'm totally OK with, and added more on top of that for my server. But in looking at the bill there's no way to automatically not include this fee, nor are there any instructions on what to do if you want to increase/reduce the fee so this "voluntary" fee definitely feels more "mandatory", though it's possible one could just simply ask to have it removed.General Experience:- quick friendly service; was seated immediately and got my order taken within 5 minutes of entering the building.- cozy environment, very welcoming, very clean, and number little gift shop- Food took about 15min to arrive; totally reasonable.Food Experience:- I got the Brunch Burger with cranberry coleslaw as a side.- coleslaw was excellent; not too saucy, and cranberries added a nice flavor.- Also came with a side of house-made... pickles? Pickled zucchini? I wasn't sure exactly but as someone who doesn't like pickles I still found it pretty good!- Burger was overall 'OK': Bun was very good and homemade, toppings were done nicely with the bacon being crisp, onions were nicely caramelized, good egg and cheese, etc. Really the burger was only held back by the patty being WAY overdone. The patty was super dry; all of it's juice and flavor had been cooked out and it really only served to detract (significantly) from the rest of the flavors. It's unfortunate, because so much care was put into everything else on my plate, but the burger patty itself was, frankly, a waste of good beef.

Owner literally told my husband and I that we smell in front of the entire restaurant today. Regardless of if we do that is not how you address that situation-he should have pulled us somewhere private. Very rude and inexcusable.

We've made it a tradition to stop here on our way back down when heading home from Duluth. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the kids just love seeing the big bear and the giant Paul Bunyan statue!

Great food and service with a smile. I had Eggs Benedict and they were perfectly delicious. They come on house made bread, which was different and I was very happy with the taste. My companion had an omelette with French Toast on the side. I got a taste of the French Toast and I loved

One of the best breakfasts I have had in my life. The coffee was very good, great tasting to start the meal off. I got meat lovers skillet for my bread I got French toast. My friend got an omelet with wild rice in it, among other things covered in Hollandaise sauce with hash. The customer service was excellent. They have a large gift shop downstairs with many cool things at reasonable prices. This will be a go-to spot whenever ever I am in the area.

We always make this a stop on our way to two harbors. I try to order something different each time. The cranberry coleslaw is my favorite coleslaw. The wild rice meatloaf is fantastic so is the turkey melt on cranberry bread. The kid liked the patty melt a lot. Every server has been so friendly. Prices are great too.Parking: Plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: My youngest is 13 and loves it. If I had younger I'd bring them no problem. There's something for everyone. I'd just watch really young kids in the gift shop, there's great things down there and some are breakable.
